I compare FLCL to Excel Sage or Puni Puni Poemi...the weird random shit that
just doesn't seem to fit half the time. There is a story in there but it's
covered up but the metric fook ton of randomness. It's a good lil series that I
personally feel is only good for the entertainment value. Don't try and find
some deeper meaning or cohesive story line...just take it as something weird and
funny to watch. There might be a deeper meaning...there might not...I personally
don't care though...rather just watch it, laugh and say, "wtf?!?!?!"

it to be I lettel less comfusing but yes FLCL is very funny
You have to watch the whole series, maybe even watch it twice if you even want a
clue as to what is going on. Weird...yes. Funny...yes. Hilarious...Oh yeah!
FLCL is awesome. It seems really random and strange, but I think behind all the
weirdness it's about a kid going through changes and realizing he really still
is just a kid. But.. that's just what I think! But I love the animation, and the
dubbing is very well done. A unique anime ineed!
Quite an amazing show and one that has a nice little cult following. Had got
the bootleg of it and watched it the first time around all at once with a close
friend of mine.....incredible!! I knew I had to get the discs when they came out
here.
Actually its a show with a very thought out storyline. Its there if you look
beyond the surface. I didn't see it at first until the 2nd time around.
Wonderful soundtrack as well.
FLCL is awesome like killer pink bunny said hahah it is weird at first but then
as u watch more u get pulled in hahha especially when the dad fights nato for
Haruka just because he wants to foolie coolie with her hahaha.
FLCL is basically about a woman who is trying to gain the powers of the Pirate
King. The Pirate King is being held captive by Medica Mechanica on Earth. A boy
named Noata somehow has an inter-dimensional portal in his head that allows
Medica Mechanica to send thier machines through in the hope of smoothing out the
world. The woman uses his head to further Medica Mechanica's progress in the
hopes that she can consume the Pirate King's power. (I think that's the story)
Most of the time the story seems like background noise. FLCL basically pokes fun
at everything.
I would say that this is one of my favorite animes. The best part is that it is
6 episodes, everytime i have 2.5 hours to spend and I feel like anime I can
watch the whole thing.
i absolutely looove this series. i dont think of it as a storyline series (cause
i have cowboy bebop & samurai champloo for that....) but more along the
lines of an art piece. to me its a moving painting. i love the designing that
went into it. if i had the money i'd buy a plasma tv and play it 24/7 as a
living painting. and the music from the pillows is great... that one scene with
the robot with the song "hybrid rainbow" just awesome... tears came
out of my eyes cause of how beautiful it was.
again i see it as more of an artform then an actually series. so my opinion is
totally different from an actual anime.

It seemed normal to me, but then again, I'm pretty strange. I'm actually thinking about buying the DVDs of it.
