Because I am bored, here is a thread in which people can post handy household tips (or other everyday tips). Be it home repair, yard maintenance, food and kitchen tips, clothing tips, electronics hints, and so on.

Here we go:

Did you know most women wear the wrong size bra? Here is a handy-dandy guide on how to fit somebody for a proper size:

Measuring for the Correct Bra Size

Step One: Determining Band Size
For the most accurate fit, be sure to stand up straight and relaxed while taking measurements. Make sure that the tape measure fits snugly but not too tight, and be sure to measure straight across the back.

To measure the correct band size... measure (in inches) around the rib cage, directly under the bust. Add 5 inches to this measurement. If the total is an odd number, then round up to the next even number. If the total is an even number, then that is the correct band size.

Step Two: Determining Cup Size
To measure the correct cup size... wearing an unpadded bra, measure around the fullest part of your bust. Be sure to stand up straight and relaxed while taking measurement for the most accurate fit. The tape measure should not be pulled too tight... just snug enough to remain straight across the back without falling.

Step Three: Determining Correct Bra Size
Subtract the band measurement from the cup measurement. Each inch of difference between these two numbers is equal to one cup size... 1 = A cup, 2 = B cup, etc. Please refer to the chart below.

Difference Cup Size
1 A
2 B
3 C
4 D
5 DD (E)
6 DDD (F)

Need an Example?
Follow along with this sample fitting to see how the numbers add up...

Step 1
Measurement around the rib cage = 30
Add 5 inches = 35
Round up to the next even number = 36
Correct band measurement = 36

Step 2
Measurement around the bust = 39

Step 3
Difference: 39-36 = 3
Therefore correct bra size = 36C

Actually if you put a piece of bread in your mouth, they don't tear up.

Grishenko, how much you wanna bet guys are going to want to go shopping with their wives/girlfriends, just so they can try this out. :D lol, very calculating my friend. :D

It is a rather cunning plan, I must say ^_^ oil change to come later.

^hehe, i really believed there was a real reason behind that calculated guide..lol

Did you actually know that? O_o Lol!

When you re-heat pizza in a microwave (because you don't have an oven available, which is a better choice :-p), moisten it with water. Don't get it WET and soggy, just moist. The crust will be crispier and not all nasty.

Did you know that nicotine has a lethal dose of 45 mg whereas arsenic has a lethal of 200 mg? Just in case someone is annoying you too much.

If you enjoy working on your car, or want to save time and money, an oil change is something that even non-mechanics can do at home. All you’ll need are a few simple tools, enough cans of oil for your particular vehicle, and approximately 20 minutes.
Equipment:

* Oil Filter Wrench
* As many quarts of oil as your car needs. Refer to your owner’s manual for recommendation.
* Container (for draining the old oil into). Be sure it is large enough to hold 5-7 quarts of oil.
* Wheel ramps
* Blocks to wedge behind your tires
* Adjustable wrench
* Funnel
* Large plastic pan or container that will hold the discarded oil
* Rags
* A new oil filter to fit your make and model

These items can be purchased at any auto parts store.
Changing the Oil: An Overview
Important: For your safety, make sure you have a flat surface to work on. Even a slight incline can pose a danger, so be certain the surface you’ll be working on is even.
To drain the oil:

* Place the wheel ramps under your front tires and drive up on them.
* Put on your emergency brakes and place the blocks behind your back tires.
* To drain the old oil out of your car, crawl underneath and find the plug on the bottom of your oil pan.
* Place your container under the pan and use your wrench to unscrew the plug.
* Caution: The may be hot and could cause severe burns! Also, the oil will pour out quickly after the plug is removed; let it drain completely. When the oil has stopped draining, replace the plug.

To replace the oil filter:

* Place your oil filter wrench around the old filter and turn counterclockwise. The wrench will tighten up around the old filter and you should be able to unscrew it.
* Once you have removed the old filter, using a bit of oil lubricate the circular edge of the new filter where it comes in contact with the engine.
* Screw the new filter on by hand, firmly but not too tightly.

Replace the oil:

* Find the orifice at the top of the engine that says oil.
* Using the funnel, fill the car up with as many quarts as it requires. If you don’t know, you can put a few in and periodically check your oil with the dipstick until you get a proper reading, adding more if there isn’t yet enough.

Final check:

* Once you’ve added the oil, start the engine while the car is still up on the ramps and let it run a bit, checking for any leaks around your filter and oil pan plug.
* If you see oil leaking, tighten up the filter some more.
* Drive your car off the ramps.

ALWAYS dispose of used oil properly, preferably at a location that recycles oil. Never pour used oil into the ground.

SERVICE TIP: Many front wheel drive cars have the oil filter located above an area where there are engine mounts and exhaust pipes. Draining oil from the old filter will collect on these parts and leak on the ground for a short period of time after an oil change. Do not confuse this with oil filter or drain plug leakage.

Teh, I already know how to do that Grishenko... Tell us something of "substance" lol. ;)

Etwas von Substanz ist, Informationen in gewissen "Gebieten". Und ich bedeute "die" Gebiete nicht (oder gehend zu tief in sie) nicht. Mein Gemüt ist immer so verdorben. :D

1.) Don't run with scissors
2.) Cat in dryer not good idea (never do this!!)
3.)Bleach the countertops after having meat on them
4.) always turn on the light to go pee
5.) Never let mom catch you with a man in the house

let's see... to measure correct amount of water in rice cooker place rice in rice cooker, place your palm face down on top of the rice lightly. the water should just barely cover your fingers. you can also do this with your index finger. put the water in and then put your index finger into the rice so that it touches the bottom of the pot. the water level should be level with your first joint in your index finger...

Especially if you are a guy! ewwwww.

But what if you're gay?

Wait.... You still wouldn't want your mom to catch you would you? :D

here's another handy tip... to keep your drink for getting all watery when the ice cubes melt try this: take the ice cube tray and instead of filling them with water, fill them with the beverage you enjoy cold! (this works well with orange juice...)

That's a pretty good guide. Unforutunately, most guides stop at size DDD.

When you're running out of Ketchup... twirl the bottle while holding it at the neck.

Or you can do it Pinoy style and just add hot water in it.

I'm sure i can think of something, cause my mum's usually nagging about something.
ironic isn't it....not really..........

um...be neat, tidy and organised, and you ill have a lot more space.
geez that was simple...
