My parents do not because they have other things to do. Beside, the rest of the
family thinks i am crazy watching cartoon. Hey, they are not cartoon. THere is a
difference. I hate it when they say that.
my dad has watched inuyasha a few times while i was watching it on adult swim,
he just made fun of it making all these retarded noises and askin questions,
annoying. he seemed to like samurai champloo though
My mom has watched adult swim a couple of times watches Cowboy Bebop but that's
about all she watches. As for my dad, I don't think he would ever watch anime.
Gee, I guess I'm a rarity. My folks are very open-minded, so they've become
casual fans. The whole family enjoys watching Inuyasha, and right now my sis
and I are showing the folks Slayers. My mom is a avid fan of Cardcaptor Sakura
(kept begging me to show her more), Slayers (loves Zelgadis) and Inuyasha (loves
Miroku).
My dad isn't so easily enthused, 'course he's hard to get enthused about alot of
things. He does enjoy Inuyasha (Shippou's his favorite), plus I think he
enjoyed the original Ghost in the Shell after I walked him through it. He does
seem to be a big fan of Hayao Miyazaki (who isn't?), mostly for the artwork and
detail in animation. Mom's a fan, too, but she also digs the stories no matter
how strange they are.
It's nice to have parents who are geeks in their own right. (Dad's been a
computer geek since forever, and Mom is a classic SciFI fan. )
My sis and I would LOVE to have the time to show them stuff like Gundam Wing and
Fullmetal Alchemist, because I think they could really identify with the
themes.
lol ya right. They know what it is when they see it, but to them it's still
just cartoons. They haven't seen some of the ... other stuff, but that's not
for their eyes
my parents watched it before and they always make fun of the characters names or
they ask me whats going on and i try to explain it but they still dont get and
than i say just watch the movie and its so annoying when they do that so now i
dont let them watch it anymore or if im watching it and they come home they
usually go downstairs

anime but understands the real life movies with celebrity actors. Me, I'm vice
versa.

score on my exams, my dad would buy me some manga. However he has no idea what
is good or what is bad, he just buys them I guess
Sometimes I can get my mom to watch anime with me, and she will watch it,
however afterwards, she would have no idea what it is about. My father generally
dislikes when i talk about anime to other people. Sometimes I would force
grandma to change channels so i can watch anime, she would change it, but my
father get really pissed and i would get my ass kicked later.
No! And if they would I'd never talk to them about it. :P Can't exactly see
myself sitting with my dad discussing what's the most devestating death-scene in
Sailor Moon. XP Weird!

say "What the hell is this" and then make me change the chanel. I sat
down with mom and pops and tried to explain hmm I think it was Trigun to them.
