You can try Edwardian Script ITC. It's a really nice script that would look good in many wallpapers, depending on the style of the wallpaper. The Outer Glow and the Stroke blending options work really well for more impressive looks.

if you go to http://www.abstractfonts.com, they have their fonts sorted by category so you can browse through similarly styled fonts. hope that helps!

Good font resources:
http://www.blambot.com -- Blambot fonts, specializes in comic-book style fonts, but their collection of titling fonts are quite multi-purpose. Good if you have a particular theme
http://www.fontdiner.com -- Specializes in retro, classic 60's styled fonts
http://dafont.com/en/ -- Lots of fonts sorted by type/style -- easy to find, for example, a grunge font, or a calligraphy font
It's best to find a font that suits your wallpaper. For example, if you have a dark, gritty, grungy font you'll want something like Adler or Black Widow -- dirty grungy fonts. If you have a magical scene you might try a script font or other cursive lettering for that mystical feeling. If you have a cute, comical, cartoonish scene, you might want to try a rounded font like VAG rounded. Each font is different, so you should experiment with several different types to fit the style of the wall you are working on.

dafont.com is going to be your best bet right now. Make sure to change it to english!
