I detest english voice overs. The only series I was content with the english in
was cowboy Bebop. Now they did a decent job, otherwise it's all subtitles for
this one.
yeah mainly all of the anime that is dubbed the voice acting blows!!!!
but there some that sound cool like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo,
and FLCL thoses are good I think that they did a good job with Haruka voice.
I never want to hear on the day that I have to hear the voice overs for Chobits
my friend said that Chi chants "Underwear" instead of
"Pantsu" God that must suck
I like the subbed version more then the english version. 1. The singing of songs
are so much different...... i even prefer japanese over english songs when it
comes to anime. And my other reason is because the translation are weirder.....
cause like japanese anime allow cursing i think... and then when you compare it
to the english they wipe some scenes out or just replace some words with
something totaly different
I generally prefer watching anime subbed, but there are some series' that I only
watch dubbed. Cowboy Bebop, which has been mentioned a few times in this
thread, has an exceptional dub, in my opinion. I also thought the dub for Excel
Saga was decent- Excel's voice seems high pitched and like a shriek, but it's
actually very close to the original Japanese voice.
Pretty much my only gripe about some dubs is the inconsistency with names. Pick
one pronunciation, and stick with it- at least through the episode. :P
I really don't like dubs at all. I can only stand them sometimes if I haven't
heard the Japanese voices first. For example, I watched Cowboy Bebop in English
first so now their Japanese voices sound weird to me. I really hated hearing the
dubbed voices for Sailor Moon and Magic Knight Rayearth. *shudders*
I usually don't have to hear the English voices since I live in Japan. I love
the Japanese voice actors, they fit each character perfectly. Once, however, I
went into an American DVD store and got an English one simply because they cost
less. I'll never make that mistake again. o.o; It was horrid.
Quote by wolfcoI refuse to watch dubs.
The three main reason they suck are: producers choose inappropriately age voice
actors, use lack-luster simplified translations, and don't suit the words/voices
to the actual scenes.
that's basically why i hate dubbed voices, the voices for dragonball gt were
horrible! i couldn't stand to watch it, the subbed are definitely better

Especially One piece!
Sanji's voice makes me feel nasty. XP
