As now we got an Yu-Gi-Oh cardgame thread I thought I might as well make one for
Magic the Gathering(MTG).
I'v been playing magic for awhile now and I think that it's a great game when it
comes to building decks and playing since there is such a huge ammount of cards
and ways to build a deck that makes it really fun.
I like to play creature decks and animate decks. I'm currently working on a
Black-White Pestilence/Animate deck. I'm still missing a few cards but it kind
of works pretty good as it is now.
Magic rules, rocks and is just the best, well after playing yugioh, duel
masters, neopets, dot hack and a few other card games magic is definately the
most unpredictable game of them all, even if its just one colour the game can
throw suprises at you at any time, definate try for any pone who plays any TCG.

I've never played MTG, I've always wanted to start, but most people I know
aren't interested in that sort of stuff so it would be hard for me to find an
opponent
i used the play it but i got tired of the cost and the fact i didnt have many
people to play with. my dad played it even shorter time then i did and gave me
his cards.

Nah, you can get a pretty good deck without paying too much cash but if you want
a really competive deck, your wallet will be hurt :P
I'm currently making a T2* deck and it has only cost me about 300-400SEK(aprox.
38-51 USD) . Havnt tested it out so much since I build it yesterday, but I'm
gonna try to play some with it today with my firend to se what needs to be
changed.

try finding a magic community from your country and by that site find convetions
and places to play.
*T2 consists of the latest two blocks and the latest edition(only pokemon framed
card that is for the moment...)
I play I play :jumps up and down raising arm: Mwahahahah my Slivers will over
run you In all seriosuness I've been paying for a year now. I currently have
12 decks. I mostly play singel colored decks with teh exception of my Sliver and
Spirit deck which are all color and green/black decks. I also have a
soldier/cleric deck, goblin deck, red beast deck, a black misc deck, an elf
deck, a green beast deck,a blue wizard deck, a Ninja deck.
i got really into magic once kamigawa came around. it was magic's answer to
yugioh, in terms of art and somewhat in terms of culture. with magic, i dont
have to worry about those annoying euphemisms and edited art found in yugioh
cards, which i really hate by the way. the only yugioh cards im getting now are
comming straight from japan. anyways i just bought a few theme decks for magic
(one theme deck for each...is it called block? - i mainly like green, white and
black, since i love the effects of spirits and arcane magic. i got no one to
play with here though since i just moved in - _ - i still need to touch up on
some of the rules that im a little unsure of though...

now I play another Trading cards game, this is Legend of the five
rings".
The story is in Rokugan, a land with samurai, Shugenja ( wizard) , courtier and
more with a system of specifically Clan. The storyline is very atractive and I
encourage to start this game...
Yes! I play White/Green Spirit, but mostly I use my Mono-Red deck, which I have
modified from Beasts with Haste to Splice to Red Spellcaster. Now I want to make
a Red/White Samurai deck to "counter "my friends Ninja deck.
It is not costly to start, you can play peasant (meaning 5 uncommons only) and
that will cost you 4-5 US
Or you can try for Type 1, where you are allowed to use almost every broken card
there is...
The cost analysis works like this
T1, one time huge investment of 2000 US and never have to buy much...
T2, continuously buy new cards as blocks get rotated... which eventually gets
more expensive then T1 after a certain amount of time...
As for what I play, Hatred with Shadow, Pandeburst (So underpowered, has no dual
lands)
i used to play, but when i lost one of my best card (i think some asian punk
back in middle school stole it, little bastard) i quit playing, sold like 400
cards for $50
if your curious the card was 7/6 island-walk, cant remember the name of the
card, this was like 8 years ago

I hav got the whole Invasion series but Im waiting 4 the prices to go up before I sell my cards.

Ive been playing since Magic came out about 10 years ago. I was also Modesto's Champion for a month.
I played MTG many moons ago. So long i can't remember.
i have a shadow/hatred deck too. that's not really expensive and it is quite fun to play (it doesn't have any defence)
the last deck i tryed was a dragon deck but it was really slow. now i have 4 shivan and 4 two headed dragon totally useless.....
I use to play this game heeps (i sometimes still play in my spare time) but i stopped as it was boring
