I think that it's fairly equal because both genders have so many expectations
placed on them, whether it's societal or peer pressure. I think the physical
differences kind of speak for themselves. As a woman I agree with those of you
who spoke of cramps and what-not. Gents be thankful you don't have to go through
that on monthly basis.

But then again, maybe being a girl is harder because there could be more
emphasis on appearance. It seems to me that guys don't have to worry as much
about how good they look.
I think man and woman have it equally difficult. My idea is that woman
"make" somethings more difficult for themselves, but they also get
things more easily done than boys.
I agree that girls have their own set of problems that guys will never in their
lives understand about, but guys also have problems of their own as well. It
won't be fair to say that life is more difficult for girls than it is for guys.
I think on a specific basis it is probably equally difficult to live as a guy or
a girl; so, that is how I voted. However, I think that most females have more
difficult lives overall because I think the expectations placed on them are more
severe. There are societial roles they are required to play such as mother and
homemaker; however, there are also these conceptions of a modern woman that they
must meet. Such complex and often opposing pressures engender difficulties
that I don't think many males face. Men generally have one very difficult idea
to live up to; whereas, women often have more than one they are trying to
encompass. That doesn't necessarily mean males don't have as difficult lives,
but it does seem to suggest that women suffer more or are tougher to begin with
since they have a more complex role to play.

If your a male in China from the inland, chances are you are going to have a lower chance of getting a wife because of the high male population.
