Zepplin and metallica and megadeath all the way.

Linkin Park is alright, but my favorite bands are A Perfect Circle and Tool. I also like Queens of the Stone Age, Our Lady Peace, and some SOAD and Slipknot.

I believe those qualify as rock.

I'm a rock fan but I'm not too familiar with the old ones...

Is Red Hot Chili Peppers included?

In Flames happens to be my favourite, and for all of those early MEtallica songs when Dave Mustane was still around, you'll greatly enjoy Megadeth

Personally I'm more of an alternative rock fan, with Pearl Jam, NIN, APC, TOOL, Radiohead, Nirvana, Bjork, Pink Flyod [classic] and the like- but my boyfriend is a self proclaimed metal head, so alas it does make an imprint on my music selection

In flames, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, ohhh and if you wanna hear crazy riffs- advantasia

Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine, Led Zep, Dream Theater, Tool.... love them all. Will never get enough of metal.

Edit: Almost forgot A Perfect Circle! Amazing band. I really hope they do a UK tour soon

Maybe try listening to AC/DC...well most likely you have heard it, but you didn't mention it.

Well... I recommend:

- Deicide
- Immortal
- Cannibal Corps
- Anaal Nathrakh
- Dimmu Borgir (the first nine albums at last) =/
- Morbid Angel
- Old Mans Child
- Emperor
- etc. =P

But if you want something more "melodic"... Merciful Fate (except the last 2 albums that sucks ) or Dream Theater -or some Opeth CDs-... if you want something to sleep peacefully, Ambeon is the one xD

Yeah, Blind Guardian and Stratovarius rock!!! Good choice Aa-chan ^^ I`d also recommend Nightwish, Within Temptation, Edenbridge (if you like gentler sound of metal from time to time ^_^) also some Manowar and of course freedom call! Power Metal for life! Oh, damn would`ve forget - Therion also is great. As for rock I can say Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn (though I`m not sure if it classifies as rock, but hey, they have the lead singer playing bagpipes, so I like `em ^_^). I`m more into metal so I can`t tell much about rock bands or artists Guess, that`s all I`d recommend to ya. Enjoy your journey through the Metal Land!
