i'm split if i answer this question... it seems like the truth gets obscured...
it's like history; it's just a thought/opinion about a certain event that is
agreed upon, but we really don't know sometimes if it's true... what do you
think?
i think you're confused.the truth is the truth, the minute it gets warped, its
not the truth anymore.
if you're talking about someone recalling history, then the reliability is
questionable because no matter how much you try to be neutral, humans will
always be biased and the choice of words will never be at a level where both
sides are equal.

Great answer, what everyone says/believes doesn't make something true. If
everyone thought that if you touch wood that you will blow up, would that be
true?
well things really do depend on how people answer I mean is there really an
actual truth in our world?! Hmm, I mostly think that what I believe in (outside
school) is my own truth but in school.... I'm just a little: "Eh!"
But from what pache said I understand and I totally agree and what alexjohnc3
said.
But you never know if someone is telling the truth unless you have a witness but
then again. The witness might be just backing up the person and they'll be lying
too.
So I can't really tell if someone's telling the truth.
Good point Emeralis, but just because you might not know something doesn't mean
it isn't true. Another example would be if there were no beings that could
comprehend things would matter still have atoms? Of course!
Well truth should be the same as fact as in the actual reality of an event.
When you recount the truth, you give the facts as they are rather than how you
see them. However, as mentioned above, each person is limited in their ability
to observe the entirity of any situation; so, the truth is always obscured by
human limitations. Of course, it also possible for the truth to be deliberately
obscured by the various participants and observers. The interesting thing about
this deliberate misinterpretation of events is that the human flaws of the
biased often allow uninvolved persons to determine the truth of a situation.
For example, there is a car accident. You have the driver that is struck, the
driver that strikes, and the witness that was coming by from the other
direction. Obviously, either involved driver may lie or skew events to make the
accident appear to be the other parties fault. The witness's opinion only has
so much value as they may be biased from their own previous experiences.
However, an officer may after questioning each person separately and examining
the evidence carefully determine the truth of the event. If you are skilled
enough, you can still find some of the truth in three skewed opinions. That is
probably all we can expect out of circumstances and history.... some truth....
you mean if someone asked you a ? and you lied then it woudl be a lie if you
told the truth then its the truth but if they didnt ask then its not a lie or
truth its been keep secret it only means soemthign when you choose the rite
answer to the person who asks the rite ? i hope this helps bye ^_^
i always think that something is being true is a subjective view while the truth
is the absolute truth that it can't be denied. however it complicates things
when a person believes things that are true to the point that it turns into a
truth. it's a very interesting topic which i have learnt in philosophy. you
should read 'Reality? Knowledge? Philosophy!' by Stephen Hetherington if you got
the time very good book!!
I think it depends on the way you see it... is a question of
perspectives...until something is not found as untrue then it can be true... but
maybe it can still be true even when it isn¡t...
Well... There's always an answer to things. As well as 2 interpretation to
things which are done.
Are the terrorist correct? In their point of view and belief, it is correct.
While in the public's eye, it is not.
Is hitler correct? If they managed to win the war and stay control of it, they
are correct. Since they lost it, they are wrong. Just like Cao cao (an ancient
chinese king/emperor) who commited alot of crimes and killed countless innocents
is considered today's hero because he managed to unite China and bring peace to
the nation...

.....I am a terrorist. I believe that we are oppressed, that we are looked down
upon, that this world must change and i can sacrifice myself so that the truth i
believe in will be known...
.....I am a Member of an Occult, My god is shiarou. Let others and my own life
be a sacrifice to honor my god, so that i may enter paradise. This is the
absolute truth about my world.
.....I am a serial killer. I believe that prostitutes are evil. Ill kill
them.
Truth... for such a word to exist and believed in, and yet we still need to know
what it really is. The truth is what is believed to be right, until others tell
what their own truths are. For people to withstand others truth, and believe in
their own, why then so? its because when they did, everthing that they believed
will be a lie, including what makes them themselves.
Truth is some thing that is believed strongly(or absolute), that any other lies
or any other truths can't break. A truth can still be a lie, if not believed,
and a lie can be true, if believed.
for the terrorist. The truth is you only live once you stupid! watch anime or
something, for me your beliefs about the world are a lie. That is
absolute.
for the member of the occult. The truth is that you are an stupid you stupid!.
for me your beliefs are a lie. if your god is true, then call him and tell him
to kick me if he knows where i am.
for the serial killer. the truth is you need a doctor, or a phychiatrist, or
both. No No, your not stupid, your insane. You desperately need to go to
hospital or jail. or both.
jeez. can't believe it took me an hour to write this...
The truth will always be the truth, no one posseses any power to permanently
tamper it, no matter how much they say otherwise. If I took something from you,
and I told you somebody else took it, but then you see that stuff that I took
form you in my possession, would you still belive me? Did my lie become truth?
If everybody said so, even if you saw your stuff again in my possession, did the
lie become truth? No! Because a lie will always be a lie, a truth always the
truth. Its just that, some people are too lazy to search for the truth
themselves and belive in the lies of the majority. They belive, but it doesn't
mean its the truth. Remeber, we do not hold the truth, somebody else does, and
no matter how much we try keeping it, lying about it, a lie will remain a lie.
Absolutility, once a lie always a lie. Not to be a hypocrite, i lied as well,
and i've convinced some poeple that my lies are real, and a lot are saying it
now. But did it become the truth, absolutely not! Coz i know the truth, and
even if I forget it, the truth will remain, and not even a widespread lie can
cover up for it...
Just a thought angel! Ehehehe... Hai! Over and Out! :X
If you have a cube but everyone says its a ball (lying) it won't change the
shape op the cube it will just stay the way it is and will still be a cube
regardless of how many people say otherwise.
There is a big difference between believes and truth, If everyone keeps telling
you your cube is a ball and you start to believe that then you are just
misinformed. the cube is still a cube you just decided to believe others over
your own judgement or you just believe them because your ignorant on the
subject.

yeah i think so no matter what truth will still be truth
Great answer, what everyone says/believes doesn't make something true. If everyone thought that if you touch wood that you will blow up, would that be true?
i agree with pache and alexjohnc3
Truth is defined as something that is accepted as truth by most people in society.
well things really do depend on how people answer I mean is there really an actual truth in our world?! Hmm, I mostly think that what I believe in (outside school) is my own truth but in school.... I'm just a little: "Eh!"
To be honest I don't understand
But from what pache said I understand and I totally agree and what alexjohnc3 said.

So I can't really tell if someone's telling the truth.
"Truth has three faces: your truth, my truth, and the Truth."
The truth is something definite. Wise is the person who always agrees with the truth. You can never change truth. You may only observe.
Cheer up ok?
You'll be able to see the facts of life with a better light that way.
Good point Emeralis, but just because you might not know something doesn't mean it isn't true. Another example would be if there were no beings that could comprehend things would matter still have atoms? Of course!

I think taht people already answered the question... So there is no need for me to discuss it...

shiarou... I agree on you to a certain point, but.... don't you think the words you chose are a bit too harsh?
The truth will always be the truth, no one posseses any power to permanently tamper it, no matter how much they say otherwise.
