The competitor in me says "no". They should keep with the team they
chose and for choosing someone who would drop out, it's their loss. But if they
manage to continue to win even with a man short that proves they're worthy, now
doesn't it?
The nice guy in me says "yes". Certainly once the round has begun you
can't change members, but between rounds if you lose someone it can be okay to
provide a replacement for the next round so you don't start out at a
disadvantage...
*weighs the scales* I think I like the competitor in me. If they can win with 5
people in the first round, certainly they can work hard to compensate for
missing one person. Either that or they can beg to get the person that dropped
back. We did put an emphasis on choosing the team and you really have to look at
every dimension. UA started off with a contest but we only had 6 people
interested in entering, so that ended up as our team. We took the people that
wanted to participate. *shrugs* that's the way things go. So let them keep to
their choice since everyone had to make the same choices.
if the groups with less than six soldiers win their battles and manage to
survive to the next round, they should be able to find a replacement and use
him/her...
that's my opinion.
DCout~
I think that the groups should be allowed to have a replacement between
rounds... ^^; Specially because the fact that many of us get busy with 'real
life' things... *points to herself* ... But, yeah, just my two cents...
BTW, nice sig and ava... DernierCri ...
Love the colors...
Now you tell us. We've already started on our entry though and we aren't likely
gonna change. plus making it broader could make people who haven't decided what
they're gonna do yet even harder...
DernierCri, thx for the compliment
hehe, ur new sig and ava looks creepy...lol
flyindreams, I really don't mind groups finding replacement, cause really...u
never know when u'll be really busy with real life stuffs....so hehe
having a replacement is no big deal.
Terra-chan: omg...started already +_+ and yea...broader the limit makes us
harder to decide... XP
>__> *smacks self* forget what I said about the scans for the collab
<__< it isn't fair to change it so late. And
after what we did for crappie for not following the rules for round 1 too.

real life stuff? what a thing. i think busy with other stuff is more
appropriate. anyhow. i fogot. i feel so lazy, and tired. lazy. i'm so
confused, i'm going to have to look at the other posts.
Quote by flyindreamsthe no replacement policy. Do we want to keep it
for the second round? Obviously we have no idea yet which groups are going to
win (although I know everyone is placing mental bets ), so we
might not even need to consider this, but if AWR or Morphine were to go through,
do you think it'd be fair to let them bring in a replacement for second
round?
Say what you think now or forever hold your peace~
Okay I posted on this before... but like I said I really don't know.
I was talking to someone about this the other day and one thing that made
perfect sense was this:
*Unknown member says to Misa* You did a crap job on your wall. I hate you. You
suck. We're going to lose because of you. You're going to pull out and we'll
find a replacement for you to prevent us from jeopardising a potential win.*end
example*
If that happened to me, I'd feel bad for making/ doing such a bad job and
probably pull out
But that's just *me*.
Okay. That's extreme. I'm not saying that this will happen, because I know that
it won't (sorry if I offended anyone...) but that was what my friend thought and
well uhh I can't say anything more, if this is how they felt
To be honest I really don't *mind* people finding replacements as long as it's
within the round gap I suppose... but then it kinda puts the whole "best
group" thing out of whack, because it's no longer regulated and the
variables aren't kept constant... if you know what I mean. It's like in any
scientific experiment that if the variables aren't kept the same, then your
result or conclusion is not reliable.
i also spose that if you find a replacement it's good for the whole thing where
members are like "I want a real competition!"
But I'm really split in between the two.
I wonder perhaps you can ask the judges? Surely, since they are the ones who
decide the final outcomes, perhaps will then take into consideration some
things?
Cuz whatever happens, goes.
Whatever you say, I'll agree with it.
Rules are rules... so yeah... what you decide is ... it
PS: I realised on the front of this thred it says collab ends 7th Oct... but on
the official site it says the 8th... so which one is it again? O_O

Good question ^^|| I realized that there was a bit of mistake, when the schedule
said ending on the 7th I was thinking 11:59pm on the 7th - 12midnight on the
8th; not 12 midnight on the 7th like it said, so I changed parts of the dates
but forgot to change others. Oops. *Checks up on things* Although having that
extra day to code is nice I don't think we would've gotten all the wallies up so fast if most people
didn't think that the deadline was a day early.
Do get the wallies in in a timely manner please, out of pity for the coding team
if nothing else ^^;; Round 1 went pretty smoothly, so I hope that it'll be like
this for the rest of the rounds

hahahha lol yea....that sounds better.....busy w/ school/work/other things
i think we should keep the no replacement rule.
but more importantly. it says that on the collab round we can only use scans
found here on mt. if i scanned and submitted one would that be a valid scan?
well, that is all really. keep it real real. and goodluck WAR dudes and
dudettes. totally real.

if not.....why don't give the wall a little penalty then ???? like...allready having -2 points ????

well i don't want to minus points from the team because i can't find a scan i
feel comfortable vectoring. nothing seems to be looking/turning out right. i'
sort of stuck. oh well.

Um... I think that the idea to submit scans for use came up during the crap
crisis and I think that we're generally ok with it, as long as it conforms to MT
scans policy of course *^.~* Let you guys play with the rules a little <33
*^.^* you can go ahead and just do it... don't worry about the points reduction
thing <33
P.S. Since we're slicing one point off crap for not observing rules, I think
that's what would happen to other people if a similar situation happened again.
oh come on you gotta be kidding me 0.08 difference i got that close and she
stole it for the group ... noooooo!!!!
damn it! so freaking close i am furious!!
aaah *bows to Tama* you still are my maroon princess Tama....
DCout~ and crying.... at least I got 3rd total average... pretty good but not
enough...
*punches and kicks and yells*
Darn I lost to shuei with a measily 0.18, but that was enough. I think the
judges didn't quite get my wallpaper, but it doesn't matter now, gotta do better
in the next round.

yea drell, if any waller got jipped this round its you. your wall was one of my
personal simplism favs and think you deserved the win. i dont see how the
judges didnt get your theme when me, DC, and several others had similar themes
to yours.
anyways besides that, most results were pretty much what i would have picked,
though im goin a little emo right now that i lost by that god darn -1...
Reb, have you done your part for the collab?

...Me and Biriwilg tied to the sixth decimal? Holy crap!
Just finished putting up all the comments, except one judge is doing some modifications, so that judge's comments will probably be added tomorrow.
Three+ straight hours of coding and too much drama is leading to the beginnings of a headache =.=;; flyin out~
