like i just wanna know, how long are you considered a noob, newbie, new guy etc, etc, etc....? like i read all these rules and guidelines etc, and some other person who's levels are throught the roof, comes and posts a message saying 'heheheh the newbies should read this' or 'yeah, why don't the newbies ever learn?'. i've been a member for over 13 weeks, i know most, if not all the rules and i'm on level nine. so am i still considered a newbie or a noob unless my level's touching the sky?

I was thinkin' you're no longer really a noob when you hit level ten. But I guess yer common sense and what you do here determines whether you're a noob or not. I dunno', maybe ya have to proove yourself or somethin'.

Hm.. I'm not sure if the technical definition of what a 'noob' is really matters all that much..? The increase in levels and 'non-noobness' tend to correlate, probably because one becomes less of a noob with increased participation in the community (which usually means increasing levels). I'd say if you're comfortable and familiar with the workings of MT you aren't a noob anymore. ^^

Like speed freak said, people could have joined along time ago, but they just visit the site much.

i dunno how they consider newbies here. i've been a memb for a week and i'm level 7...does that mean i'm a newbie? or a fast progresser? feh. people who call others newbies are discriminating against people.

I think it depends on how much you post and how popular you are with the other members. I'm kinda a noob but becomming a regular member.
