That's amazingly detailed, especially with the lighting. I thought the same
thing with Tribes Vengeance first came out: TOO MUCH detail... but then I
changed my mind when I started playing it. No doubt if you give it a couple more
years, the next generation graphics cards will be under $300. I'd seriously wait
a few years, cuz the number of pipelines and memory speed will become less for
the $.
The solution, wireframe mode with zero rendering! If only.
Else: a text based frontend to UT2k7 :P.

Haha, Hopefully the system parts won't be too expensive when I graduate from
High School later this year, because my graduation gift is that my dad will buy
the parts for and help me build the best computer money can buy, and I
definitely think I'll try to base the system requirements off of the new gen of
games.
Quote by Kuikka-kunGod. Why they just
won't end this crap already?Sorry
and some of us wonder when they will end Final Fantasy.
but im looking forward to games like these(fast-paced and non-stop) and that
have other games before them that are acual SEQUELS and not games with its own
one thing not carry over to the next title in the "series"
do you guys even remember the good old times when you were able to own a game on
a 600mb cd? i mean ... seriously, i bet you're slobbering infront those pictures
thinking "dood where i'm gonna get such a good computer to be able to play
that game for a week because then ut2k8 will be out and i got to buy this one
and a new computer, too" ... before a few years a good gameplay was good
enough to entertain and now look at that ... the graphics are so freakin awsome
they make me sick ... before a few years the videosequence-graphics weren't even
close to that what are now gameplay-graphics. and you have to buy dvds now
because it's not the game that takes up all that discspace but the
graphics-engine. not even to mention that games need at least 4 gigs of your
harddisc space and sometimes they cant even compete with the ingenius gameplay
of tetris.
i mean i think it's great that the game industry is evolving that fast and
everything looks even better then before ... i myself sit sobbering infront of
those pictures thinking "zomg what have i missed" but ... i dunno, a
lot of people even play their games lagy just to keep up with the game-industry,
but it's no fun playing doom3 or farcry lagy, is it? i mean people have started
to change their pcs more often then their consoles ... that's scary.
i really hope that this game will be worth its money, cuz i, to be honest, cant
afford it. i cant afford to buy a game so i can play it for a month only to find
another thread in here that says "wow look at those new graphics ut5k2 will
have, you're never gonna be able to play that on your computer unless you dont
turn all the good graphics options down that actually make the game a must play
for every gamer." so wheres the point?
don't take it as a ranting-post, ... i'm just wondering ...
yeah that is a good point gomf, these developers need to slow it down in the
graphics department cause i dont have the mony to upgrade my hardware every 5-6
months. at least not yet.
These screenshots, just tell you that if you have a SLI or CrossFire setup, your graphic
cards will still cry out for mercy!
Screenshots
I've got a 6600GT and I can see it's already melting.
sweet. I cant wait for it. i Hear there is some new crazy weapons in this one. and i belive the air hammer is back
God. Why they just won't end this crap already?
Sorry
Sounds like someone isnt in a good mood.
Finally, something to look forward to on the pc... Sadly, i think I'll still be playing UT2k4 till it comes out... or Meteos on DS.....
um is it just me, or did malcom look older in one of those shots?
I don't even know if my monitor is good enough, much less my video card...
