Lately I seen several articles in the newspaper saying video games have negative
effects on people. So from one gamer to another I'm asking how do games effect
you?do you take them to seriously?
I problaly do but I direct it towards positve thing.I love games so much I'd
like to write magazine articles about them as a career.
I play a lot of games but it totally has no effect on me in the real life. Some
people cant tell the difference between reality and a video game and they do
crazy stuff.
Video games does not effect me negatively. It's only a game and I know that so I
definately
will not go out and so something really stupid.
e.g. Steal cars like in the GTA series.
G4/Tech Tv is airing a report on violence in videogames on the 26th of October
(I think thats when anyways), it ought to be interesting to what people's takes
on the claims that violent games endorse violent behaviors are.
On topic, the effect of games on me is minimal, excepting the fact that they
make me think about how to get back to playing them as quickly as possible...
They don't affect me mentaly at all. A game is always only a game, nothing
else. However you can say they cost me a little money, since I got myself a
mx510 mouse and a pad mainly for gaming. But thats a must for anyone who wants
to play a FPS-online game more seriously, like being in a clan or attending
various leagues/tournaments. And I don't regret that one bit, since I've got a
high quality mouse that's great not only for gaming but very comfortable for
working on the PC overall. But still I only play for fun and when I have the
time, because as I said before - a game is only a game.
its just a game, there are no "negative effects" except maybe a lack
of physical exercise , i play them
cause theyre fun, those people who got "negative effects" are pathetic
losers who cant put a solid line between video games and reality and need to be
put away for a while or get serious help for their high lack of common sense.
yah i heard on the news that when you play video games it give you the same
affect as doing drugs sorta like getting addicted but the also said that it
improves some things like
hand-eye coordination and some other things i for got cause i play to many games
lol but ill never quit games rule!!!
I play alot, mostly RPGs. However, I think that what most of the media says
about gaming having a negative affect on people is wrong. For one thing it does
help with hand-eye coordination which is a good thing. However, I think this is
just a way for people to blame something else for problems instead of taking
responsibility. I have played for many years and it has not affected me in any
way, shape or form. I am a perfectly normal, well rounded person.
Games don't have any effect on me since I know they are meant to entertain, not
to show you what you have to do in real life (and surely not doing Half life in
the streets).
However, it happens that sometimes, I get nervous playing video games. It
usually happens when I can win the way I want (always lookin for a perfect
score)
well games havent really affected me anyway, just prepared me.
