this is just a review and recommendation to read the book Stargirl.
i'm not gonna reveal the whole plot, i'm only going to say, its a terrific
book.it touches on unusual topics like conformity and the definition of
"normal" in the human mind. this "stargirl" breaks the norm
in a high school and gets very different and varying reactions. the book doesn't
hold much action (how much action can one get in a school?) as well as romance.
its a compelling story nonethless, made even more interesting by its
uncomplicated line.
it is not boring.definitely not.despite lacking in the common angst and fighting
scenes found in bestsellers, it makes up with its intricately simple plot that
belies the depth of the books meanings. while reading, you'll really have to
read between the lines and think to grasp what the author is trying to portray
and show you.
i'm starting to write it like i were writing a lit essay for my teacher.lol.well
i'll cut it short and just say this.
it is one book that anyone who appreciates
literature should not miss
only a person who thinks individualistically can fully understand what's going
on.like i said, its a book with a deep meaning
i loved that book ^^ i read it a few years ago
tons of people in my school said it was freaky and they didn't like
it...
after reading that book...i did some things i'd would never do in school
like carry a dragging string on the floor *in high school* with my invisible
dog...sock <3
i thought it was really sad book too, how they treated her...
wow, PAche, you love to read and analyze literature... you'll be a sooper smart
woman one day ~(^_^~(
i have read a few books that deal with *between the line* type of analysis, but
recently my life had been obfuscated by other pertitent factors. (aka, studies
related to work, self outlook development)
The book's title honestly sounds dumb to me, but I don't judge by covers. One
more thing, can you list the author and publisher, else give us an ISBN to track
your book down. I know some high school kidz that would be interested in reading
it.

that's the name the girl chose for herself, its one of
the topics the author shows, really.about names.of course stargirl aint her real
name but once you read you'll find out why she changed it
oh good!! yeah its really cool^^ ummmmmmm............i did read the book
stargirl^^ its a good book.....at the end she got a porupine neck tie i think
from this dude or sumthing?! its that she came to a new school with new styles
and stuff and the like a boy........i think he liked her back?
This is interesting!! I really like this kind of topics... about society. In our
class, we have tackled something like this. About the comformity of the normal
and the abnormal. It's
a play, "Rhinoceros" by Eugene Ionesco. And
I really like it.
If I will have some time, I'll look for that book. ^^ Thanks for sharing it!!

I read this book but it's kind of confusing to me....don't know why though!
Oh yeah, I remember that book. It 'was' really good. The cover is how I really remember it
I'd recommend "Speak" too.
