Honestly, the cleaner layout makes it look childish, many of my time saving
shortcuts are gone, and there is no presteige anymore, suddely a noob can look
as experienced as well, me who has been here for several years. Also i dont have
the money to buy the materials for scanning anymore, im married and have a
daugher... this is really disapointing.
It's confusing and I'm having trouble finding the newly posted wallpapers
Genred(is that even a word?) categories is sort of annoying, as well. I think
just by series is good enough.
Err, don't take this the wrong way, but I gotta agree with everyone else here. I
think I liked the old setup a lot better. Also, where's my friends list?

Same here the old one was a lot easier to go through.
And press Control Panal on the left side and it should be on that page ^_^

Several years? You have only been here for over a year by a few weeks. But... I
don't understand what point you are trying to make. You're worried about how a
new person can browse a site, and it will make you look bad? Eh? It makes no
sense... please explain yourself.
Personally I'm not minding the credit system, I seem to be doing fine anyway
lol. Oh, and an easy way to access you're favourite, regularly visited gallery
groups, is to add it to your list in My Anime. Then you can go to your userpage
and click on your "Watchlist" and it'll take you to a page with all
the categories for the anime that you added.
Personally I think this system is horrible..they have taken the out the fun and
made it so people have to work to be able to view other people's art. There isnt
much free sharing on MT any more
Well it looks pretty interesting, EXCEPT FOR THE CREDITS SYSTEM, i do not think
that a site that actually is made to SHARE images might implement a system in
wich you need to earn creadits to download works you like.

i have to agree here. that system is not a very wise one. i will stay but i can
say i wont be submitting anything or downloading either. and the groups limit is
not such a good idea either. four max for being an admin? not wise since there
are alot of people who have done at least 5. i am not one of them i only have
three. also points to start a group not wise my friends not wise at all
Heres what i got to say. THIS SUCKS! i get the download message too just like
Odysseus and when i posted in one of my groups, the post came up on someones
guestbook that i dont even know. My groups are way too hard to get to. but i do
like the advanced options for the groups. and what the hell happened to the
signature images? and the credits?!? WTF thats just stupid. we worked hard for
levels and there gone now. and...and... well im just pissed at this extramely
confuzing new MT and They should cahnge it back. This one sucks. Heres more
complaints. my userpage is all messed up, where the hell are my notifications?,
i cant get to my groups bearly at all. my avi changed back to an avi i had about
3 weeks ago, the friends list is gone,

sucks, you know, and I actually told it to Sheqel, but who knows if he did
really listened to me.
No galleries? No search? And the "Quick Reply" form doesn't show text
properly?
(You know, if your type a long line, it will just go beyond the frame).
I want MT 2 back, right here and right now!
and i agree here
too. Sry to say it, but get this crap out and put MT 2 back. Im done for now but
i will be back! Im not nearly done complaining yet!
um....sory but agree of saying the old is better than the new
i don't know where is the gallery submit is?
but they work this one so hard i guess it's ok we might get use to this

I'm torn on the new layout. This WAS a bit drastic of a change, but most of that
has already been said. Basically, this is a whole new community (and I will
traet it as such) even though I have been roaming around here for a
while.
I was thisclose to reaching lvl10 before this change, and it had been a slow
process as I mostly lurked around. I am therefore a bit torn with the credit
system. While it allows me to do the things I'd been patiently waiting to reach
lvl10 to do, it will force me to do more here and lurk less. I see there are
more forums that have been added here, so that, for me, makes it more likely
that I WILL contribute more (NOT an artist and don't have much art to contribute
otherwise, so THAT'S out). I guess we shall see...
I understand that there is a new version, and with all new versions there are
going to be bugs. Not a problem, I can wait them out as most of them will
probably not affect my level of activity here. That said, the new version is a
bit more confusing, a LOT less user-friendly in terms of navigation (and MT was
not all that great for navigation in the first place). I HOPE that it is
something that will be worked on and made easier. After all, the last thing you
want to do is make it harder for people, especially NEW people, to find what you
have to offer (think of how many major coorporations have lost money because
their websites were confusing to customers).
With all of that said, I will take the stance of "wait and see", and
reserve my final judgement for later in the hopes that these problems are
fixed.
However, there IS one thing I would like to see changed immediately: the lack of
recient gallery submissions. With the new system in place, as far as I have been
able to tell, it is impossible for anyone to see the latest pictures, walls,
etc. that have been posted to this board. To view galleries, one has to go to
the proper genre (BTW, how do we know which series is in which proper genre?)
and then view the images. Only then can we see if anything new has been added to
that particular gallery. There are going to be, mainly, a lot of people who used
to submit their artwork here that are never going to have their stuff seen
and/or commented on, certainly not to the degree they MIGHT have gotten, simply
because it won't be on display to the masses like it used to be when it first
gets posted. I'm personally not a big fan of fan art, but I have seen some
excellent pieces in the past because they were on open display and I saw them
whether I wanted to or not. With this new system, because I'm not a fan, I
likely will not go to the dojin genre, will not see the art work there, and
therefore not comment/fav/download something that might have otherwise caught my
eye under the old version. This will only cause those who do this kind of
artwork to post less and less of it, because they won't get the comments they
might have otherwise gotten from people like me. Same could be said for those
who don't particularly like ecchi (for example) but might have
commented/fav/downloaded something that caught their eye under the old version
(simply because they were FORCED to see it when browsing through the recient
submission), that now WON'T go into the ecchi genre (or whatever other genre...
pick one) and therefore the people who post stuff there also won't get the same
kind of feedback they used to.
If you bring nothing else back from the old version, I'd highly recommend that
you bring back the recient submission gallery pages, or at least make them as
easy to find as before (like on the front/home page)... just in case I missed
them in all the confusion.
I definitely agree with Richcelt on that one. Recent gallery submissions on the
front page were usually my source of veiwing new submissions as I almost never
really took the time to browse through if I didn't see it first. Without it, a
lot of new works will go unnoticed by tons of people, and a lot of feedback and
support will be lost. Definitely one thing that should be brought back
I also find it quite pointless to have to use credit points to download your own
submissions, I mean gee, they were our personal works in the first place, we
should be able to see those at the least without using credits.
I've read just a few pages, but obviously the big point of contention is the
credits system.
It's kind of like pulling teeth- in the short term it's gonna hurt, but
sometimes you have to, to fix problems. I remember last week it would take
anywhere from 10-30 seconds to load a page, and sometimes I'd see the "too
many connections on line 14" message several times in a row. Whatever you
think of the credit system, you do have to admit that pages load _much_ faster
now, and animated avatars look much smoother now.
One long-term downside I see is that the potential exists for a lot more spam in
the forums and such. A way to combat this might be to award credits for _valid_
reporting of spam. Another problem will almost definitely be a decrease in
submissions; some tweaking will be necessary in regards to how many credits are
earned and spent, and for which activities. One solution might be a
"sliding scale" to where the more submissions one makes, the less it
starts to cost them per submission. This would make things a little easier on
frequent contributors; meanwhile, beginners should be encouraged to make good
use of the "sandbox" thread. This probably isn't perfect; I'm just
throwing ideas around.
Bottom line is, the credit system is gonna take a lot of tweaking, but it just
might work. There is, after all, some visible improvement already, as Keltosh
pointed out.

to be honest, I don't like it at all. The older version before this one was
the best among the three versions. well this is just my opinion.
