don't turn off their ringers, and it goes off in class. That's the reason a lot
of people want them banned in class. Mine is always on silent though, so there's
no way to know i have one, and it doesn't really matter what rules they decide

Kids should be allowed to have their cells. I'm not a huge fan of cellphones but
still. I'm not fond of people using them during classes though. Unless it was a
parent or some kind of emergency. I text all day in the middle of classes but
that's not that much of a big deal since it's like passing notes during class
and that's not that big of a deal. But yeah, they should be allowed to have them
and not be taken away unless it posed a problem during classes.

the reason is that think of it, if you are bad as i was, i would leave it on
sounds, and then my entertainment would be to piss off the teach with my saucy
ringtones...usually the sound of women moaning.
the point is, if you let one have them, the next one will be coming on, what is
only applicable is when they are more sensible young adults in college or uni,
then that is fine.

Cellphones in school - My opinion is no. Why?
Well, after school outside is something that is different because it is outside
and your own time. When everyone in the class has a cellphone and it is on, it
will pretty much become an office when people call you. During one of my
classes, about 5 cellphones rung within 1 hour. Not that cool when people are
looking at you. Anyway, there isn't a need for cellphones. Think of this, You
Are In School. Not at an office where you have to answer calls. Why would you
need a cellphone when you are in school? Doesn't make sense to have it on. Who
will call you and what for? Geez, you are in SCHOOL.
Cellphones = Not good in general. Infects your health too...i think

Yeahm I do not think cellphones should not be allowed during lectuers or
classes. It is a sign of disrespectful to the teachers. Besides that the main
purpose of going to school is to study. So why the heck do you need to use the
phones in school ?

bring it, it will be painful when it is lost.
Afterall, you can call by using the public phone prepared by the school.
Think about it, if you wanna bring a handphone to school, all you need to do is
to shut it off when the teacher is teaching. Easy and simple that is.
yeah here in germany its normal to bring your phones to school but you cant use
em during class but everywhere else because we aint got some phone provided by
our school... i think its normal. we all leave it on but only with vibration and
no sound so you can also be up2date in class...

school premises. That was the rule that was held at my old high school and is
entirely understandable. Teachers would confiscate the phone if it rang which is
totally in their right. I hated it when phones interupted class.

times, BUT they should be turned off during school hours to avoid distraction
from work.

if we do, they'll snatch it and possibly won't return it back unless our parents
complains)
a lot of my friends do, and sadly most of them got caught. lucky ones get to
hide or get escaped from the discipline teachers. I never thought of bringing my
handphone to school. It'll prolly just distract me, messaging my bf or
something. There's phone booths in my school, so I can actually use it ;;..
so my answer, i'd say no @_@ eventhough for emergency

Seriously, I've never cheated on a test using cell phones BUT i have seen it in action... the people got away with it unfortunately.
