hmmm.... I never get teased about liking anime, except for my sister and one of
my friends, both of them think anime is for nerds... on
my xanga, I make anime layouts, and every time my sister sees me making one, she
has to make some big speech about how I'm 'so obsessed with anime,' when I'm not
obsessed with it--- but anime is awesome
and my friend likes to tease me about how I have an Inuyasha shirt with
Sesshoumaru on it...
(which they're are things that shes obsessed with... like some ugly dood at
school.... )

but most of my friends do like anime, so Its not a problem to me...
I've been teased by my friends but they didn't mean any harm, they were just
joking around with me. I remember when I told them I really liked the Final
Fantasy series (video games) I got teased about that too. And with anime and
manga too, now, although not as much. I know they were kidding with me, but it
reached a point where anytime the topic strayed too close to the "forbidden
topic" I would deliberately change it, or I would stay silent, and I think
they eventually caught on. It was all good fun, but too much of one thing can be
too much. Later, I was confessing my frustrations to my best friend and I don't
know what she did - I don't think she went and told my other friends straight
out - but something happened, and now nobody bothers me about whatever I like.
I sometimes don't really understand the whole "teasing someone for what
they like". When you really think about it, it's so petty and pointless.
Everyone is entitled to liking whatever they choose to, I really don't find why
they feel they have the authority to decide what is worth making fun of, and
what isn't.
i was teased by my roommate's girlfriend while she was drunk. I was about to go
to my room and she slurred out "Hey, you gonna go download your anime
crap". I couldn't say anything cuz she was drunk.
luckily i dont have people who have something against anime at my school ^^;;
(or just havent met them <.<;; ) anyways, there is a developing group of
people in my school that like anime, and is VERY surprising...when i was in
class, a whole table was discussing fruits basket and prince of tennis. thats
just amazing..@.@;;
if i did encounter someone who had something against anime, then i would just
ignore then and then start hating them...haha, thats what happens when someone
teases one of my favourite things in life >.>
well im like the 2nd person in my school to like anime as much as me but they
dont tease me. sometimes they do but just for fun. anyway if they tease me i
dont care because people are allowed to like what ever they want and other
people cant stop you.
I used to be the co-president of my high school anime club and all my friends
made fun of me because my best friend was a little strange and she was president
with me. I don't understand why they decided to look down on us that way, they
just did.
I think most people do it because they don't understand it. So they're just
going to make dumb assumptions.
I use to because I lived in a country town where anime was basically unheard of
beyond Pokemopn and Ninja Scroll. Nowadays its pretty popular here in Australia,
so most people accept the fact that I like it, though a lot of people I've met
consider it to be an 'asian only interest' thing strangely enough.
