It`s so boring now at minitokyo now. Credits instead of levels. I liked it when
it were levels.
My goal was to reach level 100. But minitokyo began to use credits. I don`t have
anything to do now at minitokyo. Just getting credits?
Oh well!
o_O am I to understand you came on MT only to gain levels? What about
interaction? Or about meeting people? Sharing your art to get feedback and
giving feedback to other people about theirs? Or sharing about any other
subjects? I think this is really what MT really should be about... not about
making yourself feel better only because you've could get to a high level...
I admit I had a similar goal at first, but then, I realized the real point was
to interact and have fun doing so, either by helping people improve in the
gallery, by learning from them as well, or by sharing with them in the forum.
And honestly, as soon as I reached level 50, I didn't even feel like I had
something to aim for anymore, I just got bored... and now, I'm happy not to have
that kind of pressure anymore...
i know. but it`s much more boring now when there is credits. Of course it`s fun
talking and getting known with people. It was more fun with levels.
Well... i haven`t made a wallpaper since about half a year ago. maybe i shal
begin again.
I seem to think credits are better than levels. Just like what Ayamael. Levels
can get boring after you are in a high level. I enjoy this site and the people
in it. It's really great site to meet and express yourself. ^^
consider how i was at 49 i would have wished to at least see the shoutbox once,
but i guess it didn't matter, i feel proud being a part of the
community.
I mean isn't that is what humans are supposed to be, we should live together in
a place where there is no levels of society (in which case MT was) and where
there is true interaction.
how could anything else get better.
Boring or not is beside the case, why should it be in fact, it forces you to go
and talk to people, forces you to take part, why should it be?
see the bigger picture and get on with it. I am sure you haven't truely explored
the challenging side of MT.
You can join club of arts and walling like Aspiring Mafia and the
Underappreciated to improve your skills, there are better members now with
actual existance.
It's interesting how even after the implementation of a whopping 30 free
downloads quota, which may I remind you is per 24 hours, people still feel that the world should be built
exclusively for them and them alone.
You see, the credits system was implemented because we don't want people to sign up, spam to level 10, and then disappear
from the face of the planet save for the hours each day when they do nothing but
download entire galleries at once. There is a reason by Minitokyo is called a
community, and that reason is to have
everyone contribute while receiving benefits.
If gaining levels made things less "boring," then may I ask what you
would do after you reach level 100? After reaching level 200? Level 500?
Afterall, the level system did not have a cap for all intents and purposes.
Would you remain interested after you have reached your goal?
Participation in a community such as MT should not center around some immaterial
number. It should be about the interactions themselves. I am certain that if you
try to talk to more members and actually get to know them, people will be much
more engaging and interesting than anything the words "Level: 100"
would ever be.
When MT switched over I was level 12 and I kinda felt excluded and most people
didn't read the stuff I posted because I wasn't a high level. After getting rid
of the levels it's made me feel more relaxed I don't feel like I have to
contribute an incredible comment or post just to get noticed. The levels didn't
mean anything anyway. People were spamming the gallaries and the forums and
leaving short comments on pics just so they could get a high level. And for
what? What did a high level do for anyone?

either non-english, spam or complaining about MT's new system
I'm sorry to ask, but if you like this site, why don't you participate
more?
I stick by what EternalParadox said, he explains it so much better than I do
lol, behold the leechers has spoken, Ayamael, there is no point explaining,
these people just can't understand the word community.
by the way, to add to that, when you are at a level where you will actually
enjoy all privileges, it becomes not only pointless, it becomes mundane to even
think of participating because of the feeling of eliteness...
and honestly said, now without the immaterial numbers, i feel a lot more free
and unbounded. So yeah, all the way credit system, in fact, on a side note, the
download quota should really be reduced. or extended replenishment time cause it
only encourages the people like the one above to leech.
I admit, at first I was intimidated by the credit system, but I think people
have relaxed more and seem less seclusive since we don't have levels to judge
each other by. Before I worried more about people noticing me, but without the
levels I learned to focus more on making walls that I really wanted to make,
when I wanted to make them, rather than trying to post and comment every chance
I got in order to get ahead.
And as for being a public site, being part of the public means interacting, and
if you're interacting at MT it's not hard at all to gain credits. If people are
looking for a free ride to images there are plenty of sites to go to, you just
have to have patience and look for them. So if people are lazy then they're just
out of luck anyways.
Yeah, the credit system was scary at first, just the thought of actually paying
something (even though virtual) for each download! But this free downloads thing
I can't appreciate enough. Thanks for it!
It seems to me that this credit system is to prevent people (I believe most of
the members of all types here) from "leeching" (in other words
downloading) scans, wallpapers, doujinshis, images here without contributing
it.
Well, it is like no pain, no gain.
Considering I was at level 69 before Mt3 happened, I was hoping I would stay
forever at level 49. I received all my privileges, and the site wasn't that fun-
really. To those who didn't get to see the shoutbox, it was simply a little box
that had a few messages and rarely changed throughout the day unless it was
revived. Otherwise, it wasn't really used at all.
To me, levels and credits are in theory, the same. If you love a community
enough to contribute via posts, gallery items or just simply being active in a
group, you shouldn't have to worry about credits. EVER.
To me the most important things at Mt are my friends and my groups, which is why
I stay here. I enjoy the people I meet here.
And on that note, you do have levels again on your profile page. Your
participation and your artistic levels have appeared on your left menu.
Have fun increasing that, though I'm happy it stays ONLY on your profile and is
not something you carry around. Having said that, what use is ANY number to me
if it doesn't depict the reality? Really, levels were an indication of activity.
Not "worthy of worhipness".

very true.
well said Kuroimisa. i think you all should actually be thankful that you are
learning something than standing tall in the society. you know like "hey I
am level 1000 i beat all you noobs!" kinda thing, there is no point in
having an immaterial number that serves no purpose.

that i have because it seems is so bad or something...
I'm not a spammer o a stupid, i only say that I like thw wallpapers very much
and i dont know what do you want me to contribute the web. The people who wants
download not necesary wants to make walls to upload or other things.... I dont
know if the site lose members or if is so bad if i dont contribute, explain me

get scans, specially of ah! my goddess hehehe
after that, it was to get as high as possible lol, but i still
contributed
i have a fair amount of credits, although im not saying how much :P, i feel the
credits are in a way similar to level system, although only yourself can see
your own hehe, thats a good idea, and its stops the competitiveness for spamming
to get up more

and to answer this, it's simple... we don't want members remaining invisible
while they download the entire gallery and don't even say as much as "thank
you" for the scans or give comments on the art they take <.<
and you know, contributing doesn't only mean posting images, a lot of members
here aren't artists and they still get to participate a lot: they comment on the
art they see, and they answer to forum threads, they make friends... That's all
the participation that's asked for...
btw, i have no idea what your last sentence means... I forgot my Spanish a while

I was over 60 I think almost to 70 I'm not sure lol.I disappeared for awhile
after I got to lvl 50 because well I just wanted to see how the shout box looked
but it's not much most of the time no one was on lol.
Besides the lvl system was kinda getting out of hand when everyone started to
spam and try to up their levels. Then people got mad because they were jealous of
those who had over 100 lvls.MT got kinda dramatic for awhile. And then those who
were saying things about some one who had lower lvls, etc. It was hectic.
I'm kinda happier now that we have credits though it's confusing.
Though I do kinda miss MT2,it's just less dramatic now.I'm glad of the no drama
lol well little drama. We still have it just not so much any more.

Why bring the levels back...? What is this

It seems so against what MT3 is supposed to be about
