*madly obsessed* I'm going to the New York premiere of the movie on Saturday...
well, I won't see the movie but I'll be at the Barnes&Noble with all the
dorky MuggleNet people watching a live broadcast of the red carpet DDD *can't
wait* and of course I love the books... must say the most recent is my favorite,
I didn't like 5 too much (except for Luna Lovegood, whom I love dearly).
I'm not overly impressed with the books, in my opinion they're poorly scripted
and uninteresing. While I may be older than the target audience of the books, I
still feel that they don't compare with the likes of Sun Horse, Moon Horse by
Rosemary Sutcliff, or with Arthur of the Britons (used to be a childrens Tv
series, can't remeber the author). These two books, as well as a few others I
still find readable even though I am now 21.
As to the Harry Potter films, given that I disliked the books, and that I can't
think of any film adapted from a book that is actually worth watching (other
than the never finished animated Lord of the Rings films), Ihave no intention of
wasting any portion of my life in watching them.

look like him;check out my personal pic and tell me it is'nt so!)and i love
'em!
in a few days the 6th book is coming out!woohooo!
I like the books because I just love the mystery in it and how you have to wait
for sometime to know what happens next. I do like the element of surprise.
However I hate the films. I don't like it that much because the adaptation is
really really bad and they change it so that it would please those who haven't
read it. But honestly, why would someone want to watch a movie and they already
know what is to happen. With the poor film adaptation I don't even want to go
watch the next one. Most film adaptations are bad because they end up totally
different from the actual books themselves. The only thing I like is the Lord of
The Rings. It was a great film and the special effects were awesome and also
because it was filmed here in NZ, my home =)
I love the books, but not very impressed with the films. I'll still go to watch
them but.. eh. The second one was pretty good. I'm the only one in the house who
likes Harry Potter... but then I'm also the only one who likes anime and art..

It took me 3 Harry Potter movies til I finally convinced myself to read the
novels. The first 4 were very good, but not as good as Order of the Phoenix.
That book was very addictive....it was hard for me to take a break from it. I
felt the story was much more dramatic and exciting.

Wow...this is one weird question...it's safe to say the majority of people like
Harry Potter, isn't it? Well, of course I do! ^-^ Harry Potter
just...rocks...the HP series books are one of the few books I've had so much fun
reading. I'm not too fond of the movies, though...the third one was by far the
worst (at least the fourth is going back to costumes and such again...yay! ^-^)
My girlfriend bought my 'Philosopher's Stone' for Christmas two years ago I've
become a fast fan. I whipped through 1-5 pretty quickly and even pre-ordered
'HBP' (from which I was at Chapters @ midnight to pick up my copy)!
I'm extremely excited about seeing 'Goblet of Fire' this coming Friday. I won't
be buying advance tickets, but I'll be there in line to see it ASAP. I hope
everyone seeing it enjoys it. 3 hours of HP goodness!
I really like HP. One of my friends dragged me to the first movie, then, it took
me a week to go through books 1-4. I was one of the obsessed fans that rushed to
the bookstore to get 5 and 6 the day they were out.

Can't wait to see the 'Goblet of Fire'. Ohhhhh, the dragons are going to be
awesome!
It is OK but not overly great as others say it is...I don't really read them...
not that interesting anymore ( I mean I used to read them and stopped at book 4

Harry Potter's great. I read all of the books and enjoy the movies even if I
still shudder at what they did to poor Lupin in the last movie. That was such a
dissapointing werewolf*cries*
i've been a huge fan since the first book came out, before the craze hit. i even
owned a hardcover first edition that was worth thousands...but unfortunately my
guardians decided that i was too obsessed and forced me to sell it for ten
measly dollars at a garage sale. i will never forgive them. *insert doom
glare*
the movies were disappointing but not unexpected...since when has hollywood done
any books justice?
