Hmm i wasn't quite sure where to put this thread. So I thought that hobbies
would be best for this thread.
To me dramas are the greatest thing to me. I just love watching them. Right now
im watching Kimi was Petto, Wedding, and others. I need some recommendations
because Im almost done with them.
I'm a Korean but I hate Korean dramas. Actually I hate any drama. The storys are
too predictable and they seem so boring to me. Well that's my opinion but my
friends seem to love dramas
oh i do i do, my fav korean drama is & always will be Full House gosh it's
sooo funny, if u hvn't watched it u sure sud..hehehe.
Jap drama well i'm a big fan of Tokyo love story & chinese/taiwanese drama
of course meteor garden & mars ^^
I watch japanese dramas. Nowadays I'm watching the japanese drama version of
Hana Yori Dango; it's actually pretty good. The girl really looks like Makino
from the manga, and well... I like Jun Matsumoto, so him being the lead male
character is good for me.
I have seen lately Densha Otoko; it was very funny and with good characters too,
you really could feel empathy toward them.
Others I have seen: Gokusen (liked the manga better), Young Father (uuug, too
much sugar) and Kimi wa Petto (loved it. Jun Matsumoto as the main character =
love)
Never tried Korean dramas, not really into Chinese dramas unless it's like those
"historical" series, but I do watch J-dramas. Just got into them
recently and totally love them ^^
I haven't really watched that many, but the ones I did watch are Gokusen 1 &
2, part of Anego, Densha Otoko, Ame no Yume, Suuta no Koi and what has come out
of the Hana Yori Dango ones.
They are predictable, but I still like them! Ame no Yume
is pretty sweet about life and death sort of stuff. I thought it was really
touching, even tho after the twist I could totally guess what happens... hehe, I
only watched it cuz of Hayami Mokomichi, but it was still a good series ^^
I watch lots of Chinese dramas because my mom's always borrowing them from one
of her few thousand friends. And I get really cirious and ends up sitting with
her to watch them, until I realize that I've been there for like a hour.
korean drama always sounds weird over here.. because they are always badly
dubbed in chinese. though i love korean movies like my sassy girl, windstruck...
& some korean actors like kwon sang woo... & jeon ji hyun..
jap dramas on the other hand is somehow more attractive to me. i've watched
summer snow & i love it.
chinese drama.. i usually prefer period dramas.. with lots of fighting scenes.
mostly better quality ones come from HK.. so once again they are dubbed in
chinese.. but sounds much better...
hmmm I like to watch some dramas... depends on what it's about One
"genre" I dislike (that falls into the Chinese category) is the sort
of World War 2, revolutionary students, industrialisation, union movement, rich
vs poor, woman in dilemna because her father in law is a soldier and mean etc~
those kind of dramas written by the writer of Huan Zhu Gege but set in the 1940s
- I just don't like them... they seem predictable and... oh well. It's a matter
of taste I guess... I'm not really a "family" drama person
then.
I do like the Jin Yong (I dunno pinyin lol... I'm so bad at it) stories... the
writer of the Condor Heroes and stuff. He's my favourite writer and I love
watching his series because they're really dynamic
As for Jdrama I like watching comedies... they are good
For Korean drama.. I haven't seen much of it... but I did enjoy parts of Endless
Love, and I hate romance
Korean dramas are too draggy and weepy. I like only a few like "My Love
Patzzi" and "Winter Sonata".
Japanese dramas are alright. They're short, simple and sweet. The stories are
usually very straight to the point and the endings very satisfying.
I've been watching many Chinese dramas and I love them, especially those from
Hong Kong. I hate most Taiwanese dramas because they take forever to end. Too
long, too draggy.
I must say I love period dramas (HK or China made), especially those that are
adapted from those chinese novels such as The Condor Heroes, Tian Long Ba Bu and
several others. I'm attracted to historical dramas too.
i like all of drama, i dont mind if that from korean, japanese or chinese...
i like almost all of the story it's seem like real although sometime a few is
imposibe at the real world :-)
i like the player too...they are good looking
and almost all of the player still young...
dont you think that hideaki takizawa is a handsome one?!
i do i do! i like to watch full house (korean) and MARS based on the anime (also
korean)..i never got the watch the last episode of mars cuz of a emergency flash
flood report! i was like damn!
ahh mars! I love it! I think that one is a must see definitely.
hmm, I really like jdramas - they are short and sweet and can usually fit on one
DVD
reccomendations: GTO, MARS, (plus the above mentioned ones are sugoi too!)
Gokusen, Kimi wa Petto, Densha Otoko.
If you like kdramas and cdramas, I've heard Damo is awsome and At Dolphin Bay is
really sweet.
Densha Otoko has been the first Japanese live-action series I've watched, and it
was brilliant. Makes me want to look into many more series that are good. I hear
there's a live-action adaptation of Honey and Clover coming out soon, and I'm
insanely excited about that. ^^
The only korean drama i REALLY liked was "my name is kim sam soon."
the most hilarious drama ever...it was witty and it's aim wasn't to make me cry.
two thumbs up!
I've watched a looooot of chinese tv shows (especially Hong Kong ones). I can't
say i'm a big fan of the dramas but I really enjoy the comedy ones. In Hong Kong
there's always one or two comedy shows running during a season. Usually one is
based on ancient China and the other is modern Hong Kong. I've seen a few Korean
shows which were dubbed to Mandarin chinese on the Phoenix tv network. I found
them to be reaaaallly depressing coz they all (and i mean every single one)
ended with the hero/heroine dying/breaking up/losing an arm etc. Not very fun to
watch
I LOVE Japanese dramas. I don't get time to watch TV that much, though, and when
I do it's all comedy variety shows. >/ I tried watching Korean dramas and I
didn't like them. Too romantic. If I have to see bae yong jun one more time, I'm
going to scream.
I love chinese dramas, been watching them for years (10+), yeah some of them get
predicatable, but you get a few really good ones now and then, and I love the
one liners or certain gestures action that are unique to some of them (I like to
immitate them )
I recently watched some K-Dramas, they were good but too much crying

in some ocasion there are good

there storylines are way better than Philippine dramas....but recently, Philippine dramas just got better esp. those fantasy series made by GMA
