Does anyone here practice martial arts? I take Tang Soo Do (think Tae Kwon Do,
with more formality/tradition, it's Korean) lessons, and would like to take
Kendo, but I don't know where a dojo is and I don't really have time with sports
(and its so expensive ><!).
I took Karate for 1 year. didnt really like it. It IS expensive. I found a
Kung Fu place near my house and i will start going there. Its stil $$$ but fun.
My crazy little sister is currently doing a crash course in kendo after-hours at
some local uni. It looks like fun, but... ;;
<--scared of her shinai.
Personally, I avoid physical activity whenever possible. X)
Uh... it's free yes but it's for three hours straight every Friday night... so
it's cold... trust me...
Track and cross country, eh? Heh, heh... I've got a friend who does both...
though she finds cross country a bore... ^^;
Meh? I'm not cocky... *pauses* Yea... I'm not... I have two little cousins who
think they can beat the crap out of a kung fu black belt... Now, that's cocky...
I've been currently taking kendo, a fun martial arts, but hard sometimes too.
The way of the sword is cool, but not very helpful in real life situtation.

I agree with that. My friend (who's almost a black belt) thinks that most
martial arts need to be 'updated', and aren't practical in real situations. I
disagree =P
I took tae kwon do for a while. and if the legendary art in Shura no toki was
real, and accessable, i would deffinately take it. cuz it's freakin crazy
i stop cause i keep on moving, but i had lessons in Tai Chi, the chinese martial
arts. i want to learn Kendo to become a swordsman to protect my love ones

at least Aikido is fairly cheap, but there are building works on at the dojo (which is in a school) so no Aikido for a few weeks
I'm so busy with track and cross country that I hardly have time to go
