Eventually I want 2 girls. Midori Rei and Abigail Narue. Name appear in anime, but they are also common in japanese culture, so its a twist of both. Except the Abigail that is.

That would be kind-of weird, but it depends on the name I guess. If I liked one like Sakura or Elda/Freya enough, I just might do that.

I have a frend, who get her name from a cartoon: Snowqueen. My sis get her name from mum's favourites doll. If a girl like a charakter, or a name for some reason, it will give it to her child. If it is from an anime....
I like some japanese name because of the meaning, not because some character has the same name.

Yea... I would but nothing 'really odd' and not a japanese name either. (Since I live in Australia.) Maybe something like Relena or Rinoa. Something unusual... yet they won't get teased for it.

.. Sakura is a pretty name. Plus, it's easy to pronounce and not totally out there like.. Midorikozu or something.

sometimes, we just want our children's name to stand out, right? that's what i would like. i know it's weird, but for me, i would name my daughter Asuka (Eva), Stellar (GSD), Sakura (Naruto) or even Meer (GSD), and my son Kira (GS/GSD), Neji (Naruto) or Quattre (GW)...

it's not THAT odd to have these names for children... well, that's what i would suggest anyways... who knows, my future wife might disagree with me!

It would all depend on my mood what I would name my kid like if was in a good mood I name my kid a happy out going name but if i was in a bad mood I would most likly pick an evil name or bad guy or sometihng.

Giveing a child an anime name sake might create some rather unobtainable expectations.

for a boy: rei, you, yuu ?
for a girl : yumi, rika, ami?

for a boy: Kei, Ken, Yoshiki, Hideto, Tomoaki, Hyde, and maybe others (the names come after jap musicians more than from anime characters :P )

and for a girl: Saori, Asou, Mistato , Shizuka, Maya, Winry, etc.etc...

never! It would be quite terrible..u never know wad ur kid might think when they grow up..they may not even like it and they tend to get rebelious..and dislike their parents....
