i think that the characters that i llike do in most was represent my personality
and they do or say the things id do

but i also like characters that i can just say god i wish i could do that
*magic powers and all*

I'm not sure if they "represent" me or not ,but I do know almost all of my fav caracters have more than just a little in common.

Well, they're not completely like me but there are definite similarities. But their past also has something to do with why I like characters.... well, actually, I like them for many different reasons. Maybe just certain aspects of their personality, ya know?

I also like characters who are realistic or develope or entertain me... I don't neccessarily have to be anything like them... ^^ I dunno....

But this is coming from someone who pretty much likes every character for some reason and always has at least five to seven favorites... ^^; from each show.... sometimes more, if I really like the show and the cast (Gundam Seed/Destiny or Naruto)

i think the characters i like resemble me personality wise, which i think is kinda strange yet so very cool! but on some of the other characters i like, i like their special abilities

Not at all, I can' really fully be identified with some anime character. I don't know, I don't really choose them for a particular reason. Sometimes, my favorite character of an anime has nothing to do with the main characters and/or may only appear in a couple of episodes, like Mary Magdalene from Chrno Crusade or Kaworu Nagisa from NGE.

well my favorite character is Light from Death Note....I voted that he has A SPECIAL ABILITY because of the way he thinks....he is so freakin' smart..it's unbelievable...if u've read the manga u'll understand what i'm talking about...lol....anyways yeah, he's my favorite character...also, i really wanna be as smart as him...CrAzY ChIlD

actually i like them becoz of thier personality but for elfen lied i like lucy becoz of her past but for some reason most of the character i like have totally opposite personality

I think Hedeki and I have alot in common. I don't go crazy like he does(yelling things outloud without notice,("I want to download the latest porn!"), but after living alone for as long as he did, plus trouble with getting into coledge,(I don't need to worry about that quite yet.), I think I might go crazy too.

Sometimes I identify with the shy quiet type. But I like characters on opposite sides of the spectrum. (ex. Shuich and Yuki from gravitation)

Kind of. My favorite characters are Duo Maxwell, Haruka, Naota, Goku, Spike, Mugen, Jin, and Fuu. They all got mixed personalities. The closest to me would be Spike.

i likie satoshi hikari/ hiwatari from dn angel. just because he's hott sex with ice bu other than that, haruhara haruko from FLCL fits my personality and my looks. even my friends said that.

yeah i totaly agree with all of you we all se things in defferent lights. face it we will never be one person because to each person that we know we are seen as some one elz , weather it be the girl down the road or the babbysitter we are many people in one.
i also believe that by seeing the characters that we like we are acnologing the thing / aspects that we would like to see in ourselves / thing / aspects that we admire in others same or opposit sex.

Hmm, well, my favorite anime character is a lot like myself in many ways, its why i chose him, haha

i totally agree that my favorite characters are a lot like me. i dislike characters that are waaaayyy too emotional, like they cry at everything, kinda annoying. i like out going and always funny w/o a clue characters, they're what make anime what it is.
