Heyo. Hope this is the right place for this... Ya see I have kinda a problem.
My
laptop is 1400x900 dimension, and its not changeable. SO I
usually end up having to stretch the wallpaper...and it usually doesn't look so
good.. So, I was wondering if anyone could make me a custom one? Just notify me
if ya could, that would be awesome. If there is anything I can do to help I will
do my best....unforunately my skills at making wallpaper, are very sucky. Y_Y

If you have a graphics program, I would suggest cropping the wallpaper to fit
your screen size yourself. It's hard for most wallers to keep track of the
numerous resolutions available, especially now that they keep coming out with
more and more monitor shapes. Most wallers only offer stuff in the typical 4x3
ratio (ie 1024x768 or 1600x1200) or 5x4 ratio (ie 1280x1024.) It's very rare to
see widescreen wallpapers as your monitor seems to be, and it would be much
faster to crop images yourself then to hope others will make walls for that
size.
To crop a wall in Photoshop, you would do the following:
1) Select the marquee tool
2) Set the option "fixed aspect ratio" and enter "14" for
width and "9" for height
3) Select as much of the image as you can. Move the selection as neccessary to
keep as much of the details as you want (usually the top is more important than
the bottom)
4) In the image menu, select "crop"
5) In the image menu, go to Image Size and change it to 1400 pixels wide by 900
tall
5) Save the image.
6) Enjoy!
You should be able to adjust this workflow to most other graphic programs
(except Paint, which doesn't allow you to adjust marquee settings.)
