Vincent Valentine Stars In PS2 Game!
The third and last Final Fantasy VII revival.

Square Enix's third Final Fantasy VII revival is coming to PlayStation 2 next
year, V-Jump reports this week. Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII -- the
foretitle being one of the publisher's recent odd American trademark
applications -- is a new game starring the charming anti-hero Vincent
Valentine.
While exactly what genre it falls in isn't clear yet, Dirge of Cerberus is set
after Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, the already-announced DVD movie sequel
that takes place two years after the PlayStation game. In a time when Midgar and
the world around it have finally calmed down a bit, a mysterious force attacks,
forcing Vincent to give up moping in his coffin and fight to restore peace for
good.
The first few screens of the game leave plenty of room for speculation -- the
character of Vincent suggests a 3D action game, something in the vein of Devil
May Cry, but we'll have to wait for more details before coming to a firm
conclusion. Those will perhaps arrive at the Tokyo Game Show later this month,
so watch out for more news shortly.

I was hoping for a remake of FF7 with much better graphics (like those of FFX),
but this looks pretty interesting
Sounds cool. I can easily see Vincent being played in a game like Dante. Not much
else to say. I'm no game expert, but I love the name Vincent. But then
anything FF is usually good news.
I lost faith in Squaresoft a long time ago. Final Fantasy X-2 really killed any
hope I had for them. And now this...
They're really milking their franchises for everything they're worth. I mean, I
thought ffvii was awesome, but seriously. When will they start making orginal,
fun games again?
ffx-2 was original, just if u didnt pay attention to rikku's voice and yuna's
hurrah's u had a solid RPG there with a very good combat style and
gameplay
ff11 = ....
ffx = GOOD game, i dont care IT WAS GOOOOOOOOOD
ff8 = gooooood but short (<3 Rinoa)
ff9 = NO likeee uglyyyyy HATE stiener (<3 Dagger)
All the other ones that are below this were very good in my opinion...ALL of
them even the gameboy ones and the NES was just amazingly good ^-^

not good games. Like drakengard and stuff and ffx-2 really made me bored. I

the first one but the second one was not my type of game. Don't get me wrong or

i like enix and squaresoft but after they merged i dont think its working out
hat well.
IMO i think 4 and 5 is the hardest FF games. There really hard and for 4 i
only got up to like 3/4.
After that bosses started to get way too hard so i gave up.
Damn right! A game starring Vincent!!! Wow, it's like a dream come true. It's
like they creaters have heard my displeasure of the lack of importance from
Vincent in FF7. vincent rocks!!!!
Well now, I wonder what happened to Cloud? Maybe by that time he put down his
sword for good. I do like Vincent and a Final Fantasy game similar to Devil May
Cry would be cool. I just hope the story will be good.

wow there, they haven't said teh genreof DOC, it migth not be ps2(from teh graphics, i would have said GCN)
i cant wait though, i rather like teh games made by SE lately except FFX-2...that...is is....just a horrible game that should all be burned
yea X-2 was THE worst square rpg i have ever played.
my fav. would be IX! Vivi, the blackmage of rage!

i haven't played FF X-2 yet, but I still like the Final Fantasy series overall because of ffvii, viii, and IX :p

concerning Vivi- Vivi rules hands down
you should try the old FF like 4,5, and i recommend you to play 6. 6 is really good. It starts off kinda slow but its a awesom rpg.
i have 4 (FF Chronicles with Chrono Trigger) and it's pretty good even though i'm not that far i haven't tried any other old ones yet

Vincent is pretty cool - he is one of the coolest looking characters in FF7 (besides Sephiroth) :P
