today, and my DQ now says -9 (and I have certainly not downloaded nine images),
but in the options panel it says the download is free. *is perplexed* What in
the world is going on? I am begining to become very displeased with Minitokyo.
These latest changes are very lame ideas indeed. I had been very pleased with MT, but now it is just becoming a
bother.

all, it shows the changes that were made but it doesn't explain anomalies such
as this. I thought...maybe it's a fubar, so I went and downloaded another wall
as an experiment. I'm now at -18 DQ, yet my Credits haven't budged. What's up?

free (this happens with every image, and the likelihood of them all being
corrupt is extremely slim), yet my DQ is -9? Also, I am sure I have not
downloaded nine images in the past day...
To all members experiencing problems with quotas and credits, I want to first
thank you on behalf of the entire moderator staff for your comments,
observations, and suggestions. To give some quick background to the situation,
we decided yesterday that as a means of reducing the perceived importance of
credits, we would hide the displayed number of credits until they dropped below
a certain value.
Today, in response to many suggestions that have been submitted over the past
few months (as well as in this
thread, we decided to reduce the number of free downloads from 30 to 5 as a
means of encouraging people to participate more in the community while still
allowing all members, regardless of how long they've been part of the community
or how much they have contributed, to be able to enjoy what we have to offer in
the galleries.
Admittedly, not all changes go as smoothly as planned. While most of the
problems surrounding the daily quota will disappear when the quotas are
refreshed in a day's time, we are currently doing our best to iron out
unexpected wrinkles in the system right now and ask that you please bear with
us.
We apologize for all inconvenience that you may experience while we are working
on improving the system, and hope that you continue to give us feedback so that
we can make Minitokyo the best community it can possibly be.
Ok, I think here is how I figure out the system, the -XX number means the number
of images your have downloaded within the 24 hours period, and if you have
already used the FDQ, it will show further on how many images you have already
downloaded...so it seems.
I am not sure about mine but it shows -30, cause I kept testing it by
downloading doujinshis, so i know when my limit has been reached. Apparently it
also adds up, once you download, -X + -1 = your current amount of
downloads.
Just pure speculation, if there is a clear format I am willing to learn about
it. Anyway, glad that the place is really putting Minitokyo Credit system to
good use. I am glade to finally use my credits lol. Thanks.

idea of reducing the FDQ from 30 to 5!mt is becoming ...with all these dumb new

my credits dropped from 13 to 12...Eh what did I do? I did not touch any
download button before the drop in credit. I am new so kind of lost........

People liked the FDQ because they could dl walls without spending credits and
then comment. It doesn't really bother me but that's one big move you guys
made.
I still want to see ALL of my credits and I don't see how you will reduce the
importance of them by not showing what I have earned. Those credits are mine and
I think I have a right to see them.

Spend your credits, 5 isn't your download limit. But I guess people really do
feel better when downloading something for free and not spending the credits.

Some scans cost almost 5 credits and this is much. Maybe it is true, that some
guys have only downloaded scans all the time without to pariticipate in the
community.....but can this system be changed for the members who do ? I mean,
that members who post scans and all the stuff in the forum get "Extra
quota"?

Though, I still don't see in what hiding our credits is fair... I'll live with
it though, even if I don't quite agree with the reason. As I said, I hate being
kept in the dark.
And finally a good change, it was about time you guys reduced the free download
quota! Now at least the credit system has a reason to be.
...umm..I'm not sure how the Credits and the DQ thing works...mine are showing
how much I have, but does that mean they're low? like...i'm not sure what
they're supposed to be used for either ^^; ... I have 105.5 credits and 3
DQs...is that bad?..or decent?.....please respond so I can understand what the
Credits and DQs are for...
To all those that are complaining this new move was implemented to thwart those
leechers that abused the free DL quota. It is unfair for these leechers to get
away with these actions without contributing to the forum in any such manner.
For those of you who do not like spending credits. If you participate in the
community in general you will earn back the credits you spend. Furthermore
although there is no limit to how much you can DL you shouldn't be going crazy
DL anything and everything you like.
I'd like to see how this will turn out in the end. Let's see if reducing
download quotas will actually get more people involved or if it will encourage
more complaints/more people leaving. Or it might encourage more spamming in
forums. I would have to say, that MT changed A LOT since I first joined and
there haven't been many positive changes to be honest.

To all members experiencing a negative quotas, that is due to today's reduction.
Since the quota takes 24 hours to replentish itself, your quotas will be back to normal in 24 hours. Please be patient in the mean time.

Dl quota will be shown you only have 5 now. Credits are nothing to worry about since unless you have lower then 128 it won't show.
