Finnish Metal is where it's at. Moonsorrow, Finntroll (albeit they sing in Swedish), and Insomnium (think In Flames in their Jester Race glory days) rock so hard.

From finland I like Him too, but i like more Metal stuff like Finntroll... now that i think of it, those are the only 2 finnish band i really like

Finnish metal rules! I like HIM, Rasmus and Nightwish, and Apocalyptica, too (are they finnish? I don't know).

I love finnish metal I love sonata arctica and nightwish, they're awesome! I listen to HIM sometimes too.

I like Nightwish a lot! Sonata Arctica is good too. And I heard Rasmus and Children of Bodom but it's not one of my favorites.

I've heard 69 Eyes, H.I.M, Nightwish... I'm not a huge fan but they're ok. My boyfriend is into Finnish rock bands big time, though.

Apocalyptica is from Finland, they're just insanely popular in Germany. Since I am finnish, I listen to plenty of finnish music, mainly rock and metal.

There are some less known bands that are pretty good. Most of the mainstream stuff is just godawful shite. Disco Ensemble is probably the best known Finnish band I actually enjoy listening to.

This country is so overladen with metal it's ridiculous. It's practically an obstacle for reasonably good pop/rock/alt bands to make it big.

Sonata Arctica is not metal, is crap!

Focus: Amazing 70's band. Werid, but one guy was able to do Guitar, flute, and something else at the same time and live. Give Hocus Pocus By Focus. I know, amusing title. =)
