For all the Tsubasa Chronicle fans out there, i just found out that funimation is dubbing tsubasa chronicle.
personally i dont like the idea of Tsubasa being dubbed by that company.

Tsubasa should definatly not be duubed by Funanimation!

I disagree...I envision another disaster similar to Cardcaptors *shudders*...

if that is the company which made smth terrible with ccs then surely its very bad. still i must say that its all the same for me since none such disks are available in russia. but generally speaking the idea of adapted translation is terrible.

I totaly don't want them to dub TC. I agree with sadotsu. They are going to screw it up completely, and that would be really bad for TC's good reputation. Besides I don't like dubbed anime at all.

I don't know what to say after I read those comment above me and vote no. I vote for yes. Though I thought they did a good job dubbing CCS. I like their voice. I looking forward in english. I don't see the problem. If the show is good, it should be dubb in english. I guess I am one side here.

Funimation shouldn't dub ANY anime, let alone Tsubasa.
I'm not the biggest fan of Tsubasa, but I really hope it won't be really awful.

I have to agree with you. There were a few things that I wasn't particularly fond of that happened with the english version (like the strange deletion of episodes that had nothing wrong wiht them ) but I think too many people are overreacting. I personally like alot of the english dubbings that have been released as of late, and some more than the original Japanese voices (Magic Knight Rayearth being one of them). I'm actually very fond of Funimation (their dvds are normally better priced, too). They did Fruits Basket and I really like the english voices more (not that I hate the english vocies, but it just seems better with the english cast).

What most of you probably need to realize is that you DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM IN ENGLISH. Dvds come with both languages, you know! (Card captors and a few others being an exception because they cut so many episodes).

Really, everyone has their own opnions, so stop bashing english dubbings. It doesnt make you any less of a fan to prefer one language over the other in a series

well so far the only best dubbed anime i ever seen was gundam wing, but bandai does do a good job of dubbing, but some of them werent that great. like gundam seed was good but its the part where lacus sings, her voice is totally different than when she doesnt sings.

If a series is coming to the US, it's going to be dubbed in English because people in the US speak English...

What? Do I hear they did the dubbed ccs? Nooo! It cannot be! Leave it to the pros funimation! I don't like the ccs english dubbed voices because Sakuras voice was WAY to deep, compared to the japanese. It lacked the magic. The chinese dubbed version was much funnier than the english and I still haven't seen all the episodes of the english version because it just stopped. Right in the middle of the series it STOPPED. You might say thats the TV peoples' fault but STILL...

I don't care who does the dubbing so much, as long as they don't do the chopping/editing of the show that means I'm seeing an edited version. Most animes will allow me to have a sub version anyway, but I get really annoyed when things are edited for my so-called sensibilities. I want to see the original story played out on the screen, I don't want the butchery of CCS. :-p That's why I have the original unedited subbed version of that show, you can't edit something to the point of unrecognizability to make me like it more. :-)

i saw the dub version of ccs and it sucked literaly since then i've decided to only watch subs purely. so that goes that and if the start dubing the i hope is not fuanimation their company doesn't have a good reputation but whatever as long as the second season is still available with the subs i'll be happy, but i'll suck for fans in america since i can imagine so much stuff going to be cut out.

only one bad thing thought if they do sub it they it must of been licensed i sure hope some group will keep subing it that is my only worry

i am hoping this is just some rumor. from what i know there isn't any official statement on it being true. of course i could have missed it somewhere. but like i stated earlier will it affect the second season? or is the license only for the first? i was hoping to get to see it all b4 it would be dubbed since i would like to try and compare the sub to dub. this is honestly more of a heart breaker than watching the first two eps of tsubasa chronicle
