I think Silent Hill scared the heck out of me because there are so many zombies,
monsters, etc. pop out right before your eyes! It's a very creey game!
For me its F.E.A.R. Im surprised that no one have mentioned it here. It took me
quite some time to finish the demo. And my brother had to take care of the last
place. But I havent got nightmares ^^
The original Descent (PC, 1995) generally it wasn't supposed to startle you,
generally the robots in single player stayed in the same place where they
started so you begin to remember where all the robots are in a level, once in a
while one will move though and when you bump into it unexpectedly they can make
you fly out of your chair.
Doom3 on the other hand was meant to scare you, but I was not the least bit
startled by anything in that game, it was all too predictable.
Silent Hill series scared me the most. The environments were just crazy.
Bleeding walls, screaming manniqins, stuff hanging from the ceiling. Really sick
graphic stuff. Really got under my skin. Fatal Frame creeped me out too. The
whole rope ceremony and the blinding ritual. I can still remember that broken
neck girl *shudders*
The Silent Hill series... *shivers* The worlds creep me out. Like malicesoul

monster trying to bite your foot off--XP--really wierd whispers and other things
that scared the crud outta of me.

the Silent Hill series was pretty scary nontheless but Project Zero gives me
shivers, argh, that game is pretty damn scary
Silent Hill 4 OMG I never imagined that a video game could actually scare the
s*** of me, but after playing Silent Hill for 2 hours, I was completely freaked
out and well the game music does a pretty good job setting the mood if you ask
me. Best part is the prison. oh boy... I wanted to finish the level as fast as
possible just to get the heck out of there!
I only had the chance of playing F.E.A.R. for like 20mins but damn! that little
girl is definetly someone I don't wanna come across to.
Yes, definately all the fatal frame installments! From the first one to the
latest release, project zero. I think it is by far scarier than any other game
release ever. Try playing it at 2 in the morning and I think you'll be convinced
I highly recommend anyone to try it out
F.E.A.R. definitly but also forbidden siren. that game was pretty spooky until i
got some better armaments and then it wasn't that bad. the next one will
hopefully be even more scary
lol, you know this game where you stare at some kind of maze trying to get to
the goal without hitting a wall and then suddenly a freakin ugly face appears on
the screen and your speakers burst out a loud scream ... yeah ... well i dont
know the name of the game but i almost craped my pants when i played it for the
first time.

hahaha yeah F.E.A.R was a fantastic thriller game. My bro only ever played the
game in the day time because otherwise he'd completely freak out! I've never
played the Silent Hill games but I'd probably avoid them like the plague since
even the PS version of Resident Evil scared the bejesus out of me ^_^
The scariest game ever made in the world is DOOM 3, ifve played all these other
games u mentioned, and none (other than F.E.A.R.) have ever scared the hell out
of me more than Doom 3. But maybe its cause i played this game strictly at night
with sound up, lights out, and the door locked!
Doom 3, Silent Hill (all), Some resident evil games. They're sooo creepy--even
when its daylight!
And Galerians and Galerians: Ash scared me for some unknown reason..maybe how
the battle system was with the enemies appearing outta nowhere and how I
couldn't control the skills really? I
dunno..I was just creeped out by it.
Now if there was a game based on "The Grudge"/"Ju-on: The
grudge", er, I'd scream my lungs out to bloody doom and never play
it...okay..im daring..so maybe i'd rent and play the horrid game--hey..they
really SHOULD come up with a game based on the movie!
But yes, silent hill...those darn rabie-fied dogs and faceless people and..that
school o.O So creepy.

Doom 3 guys...I know FEAR was freaky...but jesus, Doom 3's the only game that's made me squeal like a piggy.
