Alone in a dark room
the only sound is a soft low song repeating

My heart beating to the slow rythem
my breath just as slow
eyes closed and arms to my side
as my soul fights to be free

wanting to soar high
above the clouds among the birds
wishing i could spread my wings
and fly as one with them
