Currently I have ALL Gundam Seed Destiny OST, Evangelion OST, ALL Inuyasha OSt,
ALL Naruto OST, and still searching for more.
for me, I think BGM's are cool. Because sometimes they can remind you again for
some scene on anime only with listen to them. Some of them has a good rymes, you
know.
Anybody here as same as me?
One of the more memorable BGMs that one can enjoy over and over, are the hip-hop
style ones of Samurai Champloo (combined with their vocals, makes for one of the
better OSTs out there). Not as attention-grabbing as trance/techno but the
Sam/Cham BGMs go really well as background music when you're trying to work on
reports, research, etc.
Most other OSTs have great vocal songs but are lacking in BGMs (Ex: Beck,
Bleach, Initial D, etc.).

Exactly. I often listen to the PNK and kenshin's BGMs because they remind me of
those beautiful times... I don't
like vocal tracks that much, because I often listen to anime BGMs while working
and I often get distracted from my work while singing...
I recently purchased the OST CD of Aria the animation, which consists of several
short acoustic instrumentals that's really mellow and relaxing to listen
to.
Outside of that, I brought the singles with the Petopeto-San OP and ED theme and
the Tsukuyomi Moon Phase single with the two different OP themes. The former I
bought because I really liked the ED theme (and the OP theme was pretty good
too) despite the singer sounding like she's singing somewhat off key (which adds
to the charm in this case, actually.) The latter I bought because it's techno
and because it's one of the most bizarre opening themes I have ever heard.
I', also trying to play some piano tracks by myself.
My favourites are Hikari Garden fom Utena, Beaming sunlight from Full MEtal
Alchemist, Sadame from X TV..
I've ended the music school only with 2 class (from 6), but i'm trainin more to
play on piano.
I'm very fond of complete instrumental composition, but inside vocal songs also
are very impressive. For example Noir.
Harmony of visual art and music is really something!

Exactly.
I don't know how many times I got my work late because I can stop singing Haruka
Kanata.
Love the sountracks, but BGM is better I think (especially when you
working...)

Yup. Me too. Because of them, I can play some of the GSD songs with the
instrumental way.

Crap! I forgot to mention this one, I
also have Samurai Champloo OST but I rarely listen to them in my work. Their
bouncy rymes makes me can't stop bouncing and I got my work late again...
But anyway I love the BGMs

I don't like vocals that much either, mainly because most Japanese singers are
quite high pitched if female, and males voices don't really appeal to me so the
words usually get in the way of my enjoyment.
I like to listen to instrumental BGMs as well. They're great to have playing in
the background while you're doing something else. In fact, I have most of the
OSTs saved in my computer and categorized by what I feel the main sentiment
behind them is. So if I'm feeling kind of down, I can listen to my
Hope/Inspiration playlist or if I want to relax I can listen to the
Love/Emotional playlist, etc.
I enjoy listening to background music too. I really enjoy listening to those in
Kenshin, since they are easy listening and are perfect for when you're doing
work. I also like Noir's background music too.
I love bgms, especially the symphonic ones like in ghibli movies, escaflowne
movie and such. Listening to bgms allows you to do your work w/ concantration
since there's no distracting words.
i'm a very big fan of the serial experiments lain BGM and there is a very rare
cd called "bootleg" that has 45 ambient-tracks on it. it's awsome,
very good music and i recommend it to everyone who likes the series and this
type of music of course. (there are also a bunch of other tracks from the
cyberia cd that are extremely good, you should listen to it, too)
I wont go through all the OSTs I have bcause i do have a few. I love them not
only as background music in the animes but as background music for at home. Most
animes have good music that is mostly instrumental and it's really good for
going to bed or wake up music, also good to study to or do homework with it
playing in the background. Lyrics often put me off when working so anime
background music is the perfect solution!
I like listening to BGMs, regardless they're anime or not. Sometimes when I'm
watching a movie/anime and a certain tune is played... I take a liking to it and
the next day will find me in a frantic search for the soundtrack. (has a certain
weakness for orchestrated music)
Naruto background music is amazing...it has such an effect it almost got me to
cry when Haku died........and hyped music actually hypes me up before a fight
A lot of the music from Advent Children was also really amazing.
I think I've posted to a thread like this before. I listen to a lot of BGMs I
have a very large collection of them to listen to, but more often I'm listening
to either something from Gundam, Urusei Yatsura or Giabt Robo. And Gundam and UY
are the biggest part of my collection, I'd list them but it's a very long list.
I think the best BMG I've heard yet is the one from Rurouni Kenshin. Absolutely
amazing. I've got the whole list of them. The BMG during Shishio vs Kenshin
suits the moment well and you can feel that tense moment when the music goes all
slow...
Same here, i search high and low for those heart moving, sad, bgm theme. Not
only does it reminds you a scene from a certain anime, it's also relaxing and
enjoyable to listen to. Definetely a must have in any anime, without it, anime
would be sort of boring i suppose.

I like
the music because I like music taht doesn't have words and the music does matter

Only some anime have good background musics. Gundam Seed, Mai Otome, and Tsubasa Chronicles had some really good bgm.

Instrumentals are my favorite, making collecting BGM's a must for me.
Hooya! Without BGMz,Anime would be silent and anoying.Good thread Supersay.Love&Peace!

i love the background music the most time
it gives the anime the right touch..
really great
I like the One Piece Background music. It really fits in with what's going on. Without BGM, it would be boring.
