Different people will produce different doujinshi, but what is the first image that will pop out in your mind while you are drawing. Will it be something ecchi, fantasies, imaginative, creative or unreasonable... For me... when i hold up my pen, most of the things i think is fantasies.. or i call it something that is not existable... Sometime ecchi image will also pop out ^_^'... it can't be help...
And i think i can only produce a good artwork while in a good mood. In short, i depend on mood to draw.

how the next line will be... what kind of overall image I want on my medium.

When drawing I think mostly about when is it time to stop. I have a tendency to overdue my artwork and as a result most often I manage to screw it up. When that happens I usually have to find a way to clean up the mistake or start over.

When I draw with a previous decided image, I fix my mind on it or in some detail I want to add to the drawing. I'm always with my theme in mind for me not to get lost in my draws. Is like a reference photograph but in my mind...

Thanks for the thread! It's very nice!

when I'm drawing, the only in my mind is the imaginary image of a made up character that i want to draw (takes so much time) and also I can only produce a good quality artwork if "that" feeling is present. Most artist probably knows what feeling I'm talking about and just to make sure It's not a perveted one.

I mind it blank! Hear me! Blank! When I am drawing things
I HATE to draw! When I draw things I LOVE to draw my head is thinking a lot of things! Weird, right!

I think the same as jasaiyajin.
the very first thing that come into my mind is how the next line'll be like and sometimes I think about a person I want to give this drawing to, and that helps me to draw better "^^

everytime I draw Naruto, I think about Masashi Kishimoto.. Thinking about how he achieved his goals inspires me! but most of the time I think about the way Kubo Tite draws anime. He has his own style of drawing anime people.

I only think about what i can add next or how can i make this look for life-like. every now and then i'm drawing and start to think about food....

man, that's a good question cause i just dont know! i mean usually when i'm in a bad mood, i go and draw, but i guess when i'm drawing, i'm thinking of what i'm drawing basically..i try to picture of how i'm going to draw this, then i start to draw it...but it never turns out as good as in my head... :(

I just draw, and the next day I'll decide if it's decent or crappy, lol. if it's decent, I'll carefully work with it some more, but if it's crappy, I'll just label it a sketch and put it away so I don't screw it up completely trying to fix it.

i just let my hand drw freely...i sometime have some ideas...but when i lack the inspiration i draw profiles or expressions...i they're crappy...i just throw them away...i get the ideas from anime or wallpapers..however i don't copy them...

I would think it would be the drawing, and the fealling I pretend it to express and if it's actually doing what it is meant to do and how can it do better. Style of clothes, or nakedness or position or facial expression or enviroment or... whatever else there is to get a better fealling out of it ~_~. After all that's what drawing is about, to express something through image.

When I draw (Not particulary doujin) I think about how I should make my character. is he sitting down? Is he holding a sword? Something like that.

I usually have the finished product of the drawing in my mind, the medium I'll use 'will I color it in Photoshop or use traditional medium?". But it sometimes depends on my mood and (rarely) the music I'm listening to (though most of the time, I prefer drawing with silence as my background). When I draw fanart, I have the character, dancing in my head, either ranting about how I don't do justice to their character or just plain dancing around.XD I usually look for inspiration, too.

hmm. i like to draw cool looking girls,or very clean looking girls, both bringing abt sexual appeal, but nothing ecchi. for me,i learn drawing because i find anime girls so damn amazing and attractive, altho drawing ecchi is,well, satisfying, somewhat,i find drawing something really cool much more satisfying compared to drawing ecchi, but tats juz me. ^_^

well...when i draw i normally think of something fantasy but romantic..like 2 couples together...usually i turns out quite well when im in a good mood... but my drawings turns out better when im angry or upset cos the more emotional i get...the clearer the picture will be in my head...lol something like that :D

movements of the character i guess. so he/she doesnt look out of proportion.

Ermm...for me, i'll think the pose of the character first den i'll think of a hair style that no one has drawn b4 cuz i would like to try something new ^^ if i need inspiration i'll go through comics and posters. Same as all the drawers a fantasy mind is needed XD seriously.

I get the ideas after watching anime, but sometimes after a while. If i see a character's poze i try it on my own...and sometime ask my desk mate to pose (the poor little thing...sometimes i pitty her). Sometimes i get ideas, and don't even know i got them from (impressive the human brain, isn't it)

I generally just let it flow. I try to clear my mind except for one word, original, (I always want my characters to be original and unique to me and my style) and let the character flow onto the paper (if that makes any sense). And often times for their expression I'll think "I want (insert expression here)" and then I just start drawing. I actually end up dramatizing the expressions more than I intend to. For instance whith my latest character sketch I was only going for angry or upset but when I finished he looked down right enraged.

many... many... many things of all sort...LOL! XD

im a newa artist so i kind of just focus on getting the basics down. and then i go aback and improve i just really think hard about whatthe picture is supposed to look like and what i can do to makemine look as close to it as i can

What's on my mind when I draw is what the finished image will look like; how I want people to percieve what I'm drawing...basically the overall feel of my drawing I guess you could say.
