I feel a mixture of sadness and joy ... sadness always that such a good thing
had to end, joyif it was an exceptional anime with an uplifting, if not always
happy, ending. I like things to be wrapped up in a satisfactory manner! I felt
enlightened at the end of the Evangelion series (I really did like the last two
episodes), sad for Bebop, but satisfied, and uplifted for Fruits Basket... so I
guess it depends on the series. I wanted to throw something out the window for
Hellsing, bleh!
If an anime is good enough for me to want to watch it till the end, yeah I
usually feel a little sad, especially on some of the longer anime's around 52
episodes or so. Cowboy Bebop and just finished watching Samurai Champloo 2 very
good anime's, even tho they are 26 episodes in length, the characters really
grow on you. It's kinda strange how it seems to work, you can grow very attached
to the characters and most of the time once it's over it's over and you never
see em again. So it's a sad moment but at the same time I do look forward to
them to find out how it all ends. Like omnizero said above me...yeah after it's
all done...now you have to find a new anime to want to go through it all again
with.
My feeling is sadness, by that time I already get to feel somethig for the
chars, getting used to them, so knowing that the story is ending and I wouldn't
see them 'again' make sme very sad
Horrible! I get too attached to the characters and the story...I don't want it
to ever end! If it's an exceptional ending, I'm satisfied, but usually I shake
my fist at the tv through my tears!
My heart breaks, too! I feel like I wanna cry...but my tear ducts just wouldn't
seem to work. ><
Other times, it makes me feel all happy-squishy inside, like, "I like how
this ended!"...then again, there are times when I'm like, "WHY DID IT
HAVE TO END?!"
It depends on the anime. Some endings make me anger like berserk, while others
make me sad like cowboy bebop... others like gungrave and samurai champloo have
the kinda ending were everything has been resolved and life goes on...
I feel both sad and happy.
Sad - because it is the last episode and I'll be seen no more episodes
Happy - because I saw the last episode and I know what happens to the end :P
It depends, sometimes its good for an anime or manga to end and go out in
awesomeness, but some stories follow what people want and just go on and on and
on (COUGH INUYASHA) and sputter into mediocraty. so some its good to end than to
go on.
I agree with most people. I get so sad when my anime ends! Mostly becasue while
watching, I have been drawn into the story and the lives of all the characters.
I want the pretend world of awesomeness to go on forever! So when that story
comes to an end, one can no longer pretend to live in that make believe world
anymore. Especially if its a really good anime or a favorite. You are always
happy that the story did conclude but there is that left over sadness.

On the other hand...There are those times when the anime is really really good
and then they run out of funding and the anime suddenly just ends without really
concluding. (original Evengelion, Tenjo Tenge, etc...) Thats always sad. *sigh*
If I have to borrow from someone the last episode of the anime, I will keep on
reminding them to bring! If they don't bring I will do what I did the day before! While watching the
last episode of the anime I will guess what would happen next! And
guess would it be a tragic ,weird or happy ending! XP
it depends on whether it was a happy or sad anime. but more importantly if it
was a happy ending, i always wish that they would do one more episode of what
the characters' lives are like now that everything is over.
If i like the story's final I'm happy and sad because it was a great anime with
a great story and a excellent final... but sometime the finals are bad or
repeat... I don't like it

there is a sort of connection between me and the people in the anime, it feels
that I'm leaving behind a set group of friends that I shared a good time with, a
good adventure that I never wanted to end. But I've never being reduced to tears
though
well, it's finish. but sometimes i wish it will never end, like it it can go on
forever. (hehehe ^_^) well, if it's finish, i tend to watch it all over again.
I'm going to be sad, but hey, finally I can watch the final episode.
I am mostly sad of it.

I feel excited when I get to the last episode, but not so excited after I am done. I have to find a new anime to watch.
