it has come to my attention that many users have been submitting scans that are
from various hentai game cg packets. not only these cg packets are low of
quality in that many people re-size them to meet the requirements of MT's
submission demands, many of them are vulgar and contain many pornographically
suggestive material, if not 100% porn. they are unuseable, take up space,
bandwidth, and only serves to fulfil the fantasy of fanservice obsessed boys and
those who are bent on gaining level without submitting anything of
value.
therefore, i think it's a reasonable suggestion that banning of furthur
submission of these useless submission be granted in that it follows the
following policy violation:
1. It may not contain excessive scan-artifacts, deep page-folds, or excessive
noise/dust.
2. All submitted material must have a certain degree of quality, which is
unconditionally decided by the Gallery Directors. This does not include enlarged
images to fit the minimum dimension criteria, screenshots, or images that are
excessively blurred, unsharp, noisy, over- or undersaturated, over- or underlit.
All materials must have a clearly visible subject, in most cases an anime, manga
or game character, which must be visible as a whole, or at least 50% of the
body.
3. You are explicitly not allowed to submit anything obscene, vulgar or
pornographic in the galleries.
. i also suggest that if this is agreed among the staff, that it is specifically
added among the policy.

Quality has always to be the main aim, but I see nothing
wrong with correcting this kind of "mistakes". Besides, editing away
the nipples or other things make a scan actually less fanservice
oriented.

point that even though its not allowed, it's not enforced :b ::scratches his
head;: the point is, we shoudl strictly enforce on the cg packets that are low
on quality. it's one thing that the scan is high quality and needs minor
censorship to prevent it from being total ecchi monster, but it's another when
it's low quality, unuseable, and no censorship can save it from being ecchi.
My belief is, if you really want to show something to people, but know it's
offencive and isn't allowed on MT, make a thread in the art section and say what
the image is, warn that it may offend and give a link.
That's what I did with one of my walls. No one's been offended, and people who
dont mind that stuff are happy. Everybody wins.
I personally hate editing out nipples and such. It makes the image seem empty (I
know that sounds stupid, but to me it does) and it is also graffiting the image.
I will never go to a scan with a brush or clone tool, or the bandage tool with
the intent to remove parts of the image. I'm sure the artitst will be real happy
that you did that.
As for the CG packets, some I've seen I didn't mind and downloaded. Others I
wonder why they were even posted. Though, if you need to super inlarge the image
just to get it into MT, it's obviously either not your scan, or spamming to
level up. Enlarging CG packets just isn't worth it. Though, isn't super
inlarging an image against the new user policy? Meh....

I don't think any scan needs to be saved from being ecchi, just saved from being
crappy. Also this fan obsessed boy(man) loves these type of scans but, thinks their not needed, being that their
such crappy quality, wasteing bandwith, and may violate the rules. I didn't find
any of them too extreme, suggestive,or vulger. Well maybe a couple. We must just
follow the rules mt mods set. Even this ecchi lover gets tired after awhile of
seeing them constantly. Like the saying says, "too much of anything isnt
good".

totally devoted to this kind of stuff and slap a "must be 18+ or older to
enter" on it and problem sloved everyone is happy. If some kid happens to
click on the link he/she would be at fault instead of the site because there was
a warning on it...asuming thats why hentai or ecchi is prohibited from this
site. I dont know I think all this is rather stupid when the problem can be

MT 1.0 had a hentai scan gallery, but it was abolished in version 2.0
=p
It's not just a matter of legalities, but more of what the staff and community
wanted MT to become; Not as a image dump site like 4chan, but as a quality scan
resource for wallers. Since a hentai gallery only serves one purpose (though I
will not list it ^^;;) in the end it's just an uneccessary resource hog
=p

eliminated, but it is necessary to accept that the subject "Anime" is
a combination of many subjects; within them is the "Hentai".
We must be thankful that only they upload images that, of artistic way, are
acceptable. However if there is to say that we must stop this.
One way to prevent low quality scans from being posted could be to add a minimum
filesize.
We already have a minimum resolution, but it's easy to blow a scan up to the
requirements.
Blowing up the filesize is way more difficult, because a picture needs to be
detailed to get a bigger filesize.
Of course there are also some good scans with a relatively small filesize, but
how good can a 1000x1000 scan be, if it has less than 200 kb?
The exact minimum can be still discussed, but I think the mods could save a lot
of work, if at least the very bottom of low quality scans doesn't make it even
up to MT.

Yes, it's a bit tasteless to edit out the nipples. There's a time when too much fanservice is a bad thing.
