umm...i think...computer
you can also watch as what you can do in a tv...^^love to watch anime's
in addition...definitely have many functions than a tv...no doubt...
Tv cause there are commercials and news and comedy show. Computer needs to
download it first which is bad. And anyways, i have a PSP ^^ so who needs
computer that much?
Computer, because the TV here is usually bullshit, airing some action movies
from the 80's or whatever, sigh. Really hard to find something interesting or
something you didn't see yet.
Anyway a computer has much more possibilities, for me it works as a HiFi and a
better alternative for the TV (anime watchin).
For me its definetly a computer ^^. You can play games, you can be here at MT,
you can... do almost anything .
I cant watch TV all day long . I just get
tired of it when something boring is coming up. And im not so intressted in
stuff that they mostly show on TV . I
prefer computer ^^'.
Computer all the waayyy! You can do more with a computer. I can't sit and watch
tv all day long, but i can sit and the computer for hours. Thats my reason for a
computer. Every reason said by everyone for computer is great.
Computer! I like computer because, first of all well, I'm on it my life... I
know a lot about computers, and I only know about a little bit about
computers... Also, these days you don't really need a computer, just as long as
you go on the computer and you get to watch your favorite tv shows! You can also
go on the internet and download pictures and print, buy stuff on the computers,
and also get information instead of going to the library and getting a book! You
also can listen music and chat with friends on the computer, and of course go on
MT...
In any one of you have been following the computer industry closely, it seems
the computer has started to become a replacement for the TV. Well we do not see
its entire transformation yet, but probably 5 to 10 years from now, we shall see
that entire change.
Here are a few reasons why
-Microsoft Windows Media Center editon is probably the OS that started it all.
Not only does this OS let's you use your computer as any regular desktop, it
also has the compabilities to let you manage and/or record your TV shows right
on to your hard drive and watch it whenever you want*. And in order to do that,
you will need a computer.
-Today mobile components (computer parts mostly used for notebooks) are becoming
a popular item among PC builder who wants to build
a PC as their entertainment hub for all media services, not only for watching TV
but also for streaming music wired or wirelessly over a network+ though their
entire home. These components produce less heat and still packs a powerful punch
as their big brother (the desktop components), and since it produces less heat,
it allows users to have a quiet PC without all the noisy fans which is perfect
for a HTPC.
-LCD/TV are getting larger which let's you see watch your shows just like
as if you were watching it on a TV.
-Intel and AMD have probably see what the the consumer is going for and thus
came up with the own idea of what the HTPC technology will be. Intel calls
theirs the Intel VIIV (some are PC are already out) and AMD's (which is not out
yet) is calling theirs AMD Live!
With all that said, I'll go with my computer.
*In order to watch TV shows on your computer you will need a TV tuner card, and
or a graphic card with TV tuning compabilities (ATI All-in-Wonder).
Recording TV shows may require you to subscribe and/or pay monthly fee.
+To stream music though out your entire home over a wireless network you will
need a device such as the Squeeze Box 2
wireless version
tiki223 is right. The computer is fast replacing the TV, and I guess it will
eventually. Anyway, I would definitely choose a computer, since I don't watch TV
in the first place. Also, a computer (and the internet) is vital in my life. I
submit schoolwork on it, read mail on it, create presentations for projects on
it, research, etc. So, computer would be my choice; absolutely no contest here.
computer, hands down. watching movies, playing games, the internet(most helpful)
chatting with friends, etc. only problem is that it can freeze, crash, and slow
down.
Even if there are shows I really like on tv but really few (I guess that just
having less than 20 different tv channels explain that...there are only 7-8
channels I watch among them 3 information tv)... but I spend more time on
computers.

Going on the computer all the time made me stop watching TV. So I would say computer. Especially since mine has a DVD-rom drive ^.^
