I understand why it was rejected, I'm still getting the hang of making
wallpapers. I'm just making these to practice, so eventually become even better!
The fact I'm still only using a PSP5 is so not helping me...
My thoughts is that it is too blurry.
even with a PSP5 you make a lot of great walls, so that is no reason, you should
take into heart more effort is needed.
You can always post them in the sandbox to improve first before submission. That
said, it is better that way.
I like the idea and colors. Don't care for the words... if you are going to use
the words use a more... delicate font. More fancy looking and cleaner. Other
then that it's pretty nice.
It was deleted because of poor quality and effort. Before submitting anymore
wallpapers, I suggest you use the sandbox more often to improve on your walls.
First off, is 800x600 your max resolution? With 4:3 walls, MT only accepts
1024x768 and above.
I think I would be able to judge better if I saw the original scan, but just
some quick pointers.
* The text isn't too bad, but the mix of a lot of very heavy font and a couple
lines of light is a bit odd. You might want to rethink that. Also, the text
doesn't blend into the wall well. I suggest you play with the opacities and
blending options there.
* The light blue blurs look strange, and generally give the impression of low
image quality.
* The bg doesn't have much substance. I suggest you download some brushes, open
up PS, and just play around for a while. You may get some unexpectedly nice
results.
I have Paint Shop Pro 5...No brushes >>; If so, I have yet to know how to
get them to work!
As for working on quality, I've been really busy. Don't get me wrong, it's not
that I don't actually try in my walls, I put a lot of effort into making them
(at least four hour minium per attempt)! I've made a fourth (Michiyuki), with
which I think has been a major improvement. I needed this flop.
Thanks for the advice. As for being unable to respond sooner, I've been really
busy...
Frankly, I won't know anything about paint shop pro. Have been using photoshop
since day 1 and am too used to the shortcuts and interface to even consider
another program. In fact, I can't even use illustrator to vector. All my works
are done with photoshop. So I will only say that if you learn how to use a
professional program well, then there should not be any problem. Just got to
play around more till you get the hang of what PSP can do.
The image looks good but kind of blurred. Text is kind of off as well. Try a
cursive font in thin strokes.
Note that in any submissions, you should not compress the image too much. In the
version that you posted, there is compression noise. It is really a waste to
have a wall with such noise as they are one of the hardest (in some cases,
impossible) to clean up with filters.
uhm..the scan is too blurry!~
and what's the text doing on the left side?...It doesn't match with the scan.
try to use a smooth or fancier font in here.
and i think keeping the whole wall purple is unique..but not quite working
here. click here for fonts click

Reposted your wall to make it easier accessible.

I like the idea, but it does seem a bit fuzzy... Also, the words are the left are hard to read. Other then that, I think this wall would be accepted.

Great effort for a starter wall. Keep it up.
