Do you like the character Kikyou, or hate her? She was originally a good character but then became sort of evil. Kagome is her reincartnation so if you like Kaome, she is pretty much the same as Kikyou then except more modern. But Kikyou has changed since she came back from the dead. So do like her or hate her now?

I liked Kikyo before she died, but when she came back fomr the dead, I hated her. One reason is because she was just so depressing. Another is because Inu Yasha kept chasing after her like a lost little puppy (no pun intended - honest). Plus, it seemed like she just wandered around aimlessly while Kagome always stuck by Inu Yasha. To me, if Kikyo really did care about him, then she'd stick by him too.

I like Kikyo - well, to me, she seems intelligent, and more motherly. She seems to eloquate silence with beauty err, ah, I mean, intelligence. >>;

I like Kikyou and if she wasn't so 'I'm dead oh woe is me, I must destroy Inuyasha so we can forever be together' I'd be all for the Kik x Inu pairing.

I think she is more interesting than Kagome - haha but how confusing that you exist as another state and she is you biggest rival of your lover. Stuff like that would mess with your head. I mean they are the same person - I guess it comes to what is really a soul...

I really hate kikyou,she look too cool there are no human like that(even though she is just spirit)

Me,myself,I can't find Kagome intresting enough.Every anime has a'Kagome'in it.A school girl with love issues.Kagome's main conflict in the series,is InuYasha still has feelings for Kikyou,while everyone elses family,loved one(s),has died right before their eyes. I mean this in a nice way. Her 'depressing' Character,is what made me take intrest in her first.Unlike Everyother character,she doesnt pop sunflowers and lollypops out her butt.

hmm.. i don't really like kikyou... i prefer kagome more than her. maybe she is a good person but i don like the way she is.. sometimes she really annoys me... to me, kagome is much more an interesting person to me.. she has her own character and funny attitude...! ^^

i love kikyou... she's my fave char in inuyasha... she's beautiful, intelligent and principled. i really wish that she would end up with inuyasha though it's impossible since she's dead now... (sniff)

I don't like Kykyou because sometimes she prevent Inu yasha from protecting Kagome , and even want Kagome die. But I don't hate her, because her life was full of unhappiness and she had to spend all her life to kill demon, she wasn't a girl in its right meaning, she like a person born to kill demon. She wasn't a human. So I feel sympatheic with her

I like Kikyou better than Kagome. Don't get me wrong I do like Kagome but Kikyou is much cooler and prettier.

I love Kikyou she's so gorgeous, smart, pure and unique! Kagome suxs, she's just a stupid and useless girl. Ok Kikyou loves Inuyasha yet she wants him dead but i understand her completely, she feels betrayed bc Inuyasha don't want to give up to stupid Kagome not bc he may feel something for her but bc he doesn't want to be alone.

Besides, she's DEAD, and she'll never become alive anymore, so she just wanders and wanders feeling sad, hating InuYasha+gang and VAMPIRIZING other dead women's souls in order to go on wandering and wandering feeling sad and hating the world forever and ever, so why you people say she's so smart? She's just selfish, evil and dead. She just has a "goodie" side because she remembers being a miko, and got his powers from Kagome's soul. Reincarnation? Maybe their souls are connected, but the whole series show how different they are...

InuYasha can't stay with Kikyo because she's dead and wants him dead. And Kikyo has been always interested in her miko being, caring only for killing demons... that's where her stregth lies/lied on, and that's why her powers awakened and Naraku could trick her in order to 1) kill her, 2) make her hate InuYasha and 3) steal the Shikon no Tama. Kagome has never been a miko, although she lives in the Higurashi temple and her grandfather is the priest in that temple. She knows what being a miko involves, but she's just a teenager, that's why she cares about people, not demons, she's perfectly alive, and she has proved her faith and love for InuYasha and all the gang many times. She even cares for Kikyo (but she doesn't love her, she just cares for her because she knows she's important for InuYasha: that's a kind of respect that Kikyo will never understand), and that shows everybody the kind of person she is. Besides, she "educates" InuYasha, who is a bit of a brave mutt and really needs some education.

Conclusion: Kagome up, Kikyo K.O.

Hate is a strong word... I'd say I strongly dislike her. However, I thought she was a great character before she came back to life... She was almost like Kagome in death. But when she was awakened, I totally went against her because of her goal to kill Inuyasha. Inuyasha didn't do anything; it was because of Naraku that Kikyou died, and even though Inu and gang tried to explain that to her, she wouldn't believe it. Which shows: her 'love' for Inuyasha is very shallow. I hated her so much that I watched an AMV about her 7 times a day: the song was 'Ugly Girl' by Weird Al Yanchovic. It seems a little harsh, but that's how much I hated her. She's really not understandable.
And Kikyou lovers: face it. She's never going to be happy, and Inuyasha can never be with her. For them to be together, Kagome would have to die/vanish mysteriously/go back to her own time for good (etc), which would bring up the rage of the fans. Also, since that's OBVIOUSLY not about to happen, the only other alternative is for Inuyasha to merely go to hell with her. If this were to happen, it would have already happened. And the series would be over. *sob* Really, what's the point of ''Inuyasha'' if Inuyasha is dead and rotting in hell? Kikyou was meant to be the lonely character. You can't argue it.
So, I favor Kagome over Kikyou. Kagome isn't dead, for one thing. She can have a happy ending. Kikyou is at the other end of the thread. End of story.

Kikyou is a great character, evil and good into one woman,and she always have to choose between one path or another.

I really like her, she's my fav char in inuyasha. i think she's prettier and smarter than kagome. Well when she came back to life she begn to hate everything, it seems like she's always sad. i dont like inuyasha for her , i like sesshoumaru sama!

i like her... i would say she's my favourite character in Inuyasha.
Because she's unpredictable- that's what makes the whole series more *erm*... unique.
Kikiyo is very beautiful, mature and powerful... and i really like her when she's either on the good side or the bad side. i think it's nice to see her to be free to do whatever she pleases, she's not as restricted and expected to be a saint as before.
Anyway... *lol* Kikiyo is simply so calm, cool and collected. That's why i like her so much.

I dont like kikyo but why is she staying alive a interferring with other girls souls to stay alive but when she was re-awakened she said dont call my name she wanted to stay dead but she still wanders the earth like a freaking zombie.She may be pretty and smart and good with kids but if shes so "holy" why did she kill a guy..no monk infrnt of a 6 year old?!

Another thing is she knows Naraku killed her why does she want Inuyasha to die so freaking much....

I do really believe the same like Yoru-no-Akuryou. Kikyo is impossible to understand. From one hand, she has loved Inuyasha from the first time she saw him but them when Naraku hurt her, she couldn't trust him so that shows how much was she in love with him... isn't it?
On the other hand, Kagome has shown so many times how much is she in love with him even though Inuyasha goes/scapes/leaves to look for Kikyo's "spirit". So I believe that the stronger one is Kagome. She supports Inuyasha through it all, even though she feels she's diyng cause of him, she loves him and she trusts him. So, why do I have to love Kikyo if the only that she wants is just the death of Inuyasha?
Maybe that's all, it can be that she believes that Inuyasha belongs to her but in the end, that's not true, she knows it, but she's trying to separate Inuyasha and Kagome in a selfish way. I guess that she must look into the eyes of Inuyasha, a deep look and she will know that she must stop hurting him.

That's just my opinion, everybody can say everything about it.

I don't care what other people say. I like Kikyo. She is a good girl, but as Urasue said, the only thing theat gives her mobility is her hete. So it's a wery big deal theat she is starting to come back to her old self. Don't you think? I admiere her for theat.
