I've played all the Gundam PS2 games, first PS2 was Journey to Jaburao which I
found the best, just because it was the first full 3D game for Gundam I've seen.
But the very best gundam game I found the best was Encounters in Space, really
liked pilotting the GPO series suits, especially GPO3. For the PS3 game, Gundam
World I've seen previews and I hope the game will live up to the graphic quality
that it is depicting and hopefully introduce a lot of new things.
I have played all of the US Gundam games, and I have to say that if you want
realistic ground combat, go with Journey to Jaburo. If you want space combat (my
fav. game) then go with MSG: Encounters in Space (use the gundam alex). MSG:
Fed. vs. Zeon is a great game for feeling like you are a real pilot in the OYW,
but unlike its ground battles, the space battles need help. MSG: Gundam vs. Zeta
Gundam is a really, REALLY nice upgrade of Fed. vs. Zeon with a ton of new
levels, good space combat, tons of new MS, and goodies. Battle Assault 3
featuring Gundam Seed. I was not real happy with this game. MSGS: Never Ending
Tommorrow, this is a great game for Seed fans and anyone who likes Encounters in
Space or just loves gundam. The combat is not 100% the same, but it close and
enjoyable. As for the new gundam game for the PS3, go watch or download the
video here (YAY) http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1674
I hope this helps .
I've played a lot of them. The only thing I dislike about the US versions are
the voice actors. I'm not just used into hearing the characters speak english.
I've played the games but they aren't that great because the stories are
sometimes poorly told. Also the missions are kind of bland because all you ever
do is just kill things until they're all dead. I'd like to see some variety
maybe even some kind of one vs. one dual. Perhaps a mission where you have use
something like a ball. Another thing that annotes me is that you can't go into
first person mode. I like see the mobile suits but I would prefer a FPS because
for me that makes the most sense for a gundam game. Also the melee and the
shield system suck. You can't really control much. In Encounters in Space there
was a effort to make melee more enjoyable but in the end it fell short. Another
thing I'd like to see is some kind of realistic weapons system more like a
traditional FPS. Finally I would really enjoy having some kind of newtype mode
where you go all crazy and move ultra fast.
oh yeas I love playing gundam games, tho they always seem to be lacking
something. The new PS3 game looks like its gonna totally own....
It would be nice if they put out some of the other series on that port too....u
kno just to give those fanbases something to get reel excited about. Kinda like
w/ the Encounters in Space game, except not always out in space. Also, I dont
know if anyone's mentioned it, but the new gundam RPG called MS Saga looks like
it may be a good play, maybe not like Zenogears, but it looks interesting.
for once, i would like a gundam video game that provides both space and ground
combat without simply coming up with a single set of controls. encounters in
space was a great game. the installment after it had problems in the controls
that really screwed up my grasp of the controller (how can you jump in the
vacuum of space and actually go anywhere?).
I got the new one named Never Ending tommroow and it is quite good. I also have
Zeonic Front but im stuck on a level. Hey Gundam00, if you read this im asking
if u have Never ending tomorrow, and if u do tell me whether if u know how many
points your suppose to score for kira when playing spiral encounters.cool
I've played many of them but as far as I am concerned, they're not that good.
Some really sucked like Journey to Jaburo (the worst of the lot IMHO). The best
so far is Federation vs. Zeon, 2nd is Encounters in Space, 3rd is a tie between
Zeonic Front/Gundam vs Zeta Gundam/AEUG vs Titans but all in all, handling a
Gundam or MS in all of them makes me feel like I'm piloting a tank...in
space...with ineffectual weapons. The same applies even to Never Ending
Tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I love Gundam but the games simply don't do them
justice.
Sheesh...just to give an example, you can use Providence Gundam (after you
unlock it) but does it perform similarly as in the anime? Far from it. Same goes
for Freedom, Justice, METEOR, etc. Here, I'm not talking about replicating the
anime. It's just that...the feel is not there. Lack of intensity, sometimes
unresponsive control, so-so audio/visual, etc.
Seriously, even the Armored Core series have faster & more intense combat
than the Gundam franchise (I've played them since AC1 on PS) & lets not even
talk about the hyperkinetic approach and feel of Zone of the Enders series.
Bandai has a lot to learn from both From Software/Agetec and Konami when it
comes to developing mech games.
Yea I totally agree some of the 'moves' don't even exist in Gundam Seed: Never
Ending tomorrow and they added couple of weird ones too like Sword Strike? Don't
remember it ever throwing the anti-armor beam sword. :/ As for the missing moves
I can only really think of one and that's Justice I mean sheesh I always wanted
to throw the dang beam boomerangs . Oh yea
another thing when using METEOR the thing is rigged what I mean is when you got
the target inbetween and you keep pressing on forward it gets stuck there making
it immobile and unable to do anything allowing to spam range weapons, smack it
around, and lastly do your melee special which = owned. I had more fun with the
GSD fighting game then this.
Did anyone try the Gundam MMORPG? It was first discussed if it should be for the
outside world but it was decided to be just for Japan's residence.
Does any one have played any gundam games for the PS2 and does any one have seen the new gundam game for the PS3.
I ahve playued some of PS2 ones like zeonic front but I have not seen that new one.

If I'm not wrong there is also Generation of C.E. which is in Japanese....I'm yet to play it though :P
Gundam Seed: Never Ending Tomorrow sucks..
I've never played the other games.
Gundam on PS3 looks pretty nice.
There's the new Gundam Seed:Union vs ZAFT game that just came out a little while ago.
Try super Robot Wars Series........you dont need to know japanese to play it......
I played the SD gundam G generation seed and battle assult. both are mainly based on seed.
