America, that always sais, we want peace. We want to protect ourselves from
other threats. Do you really believe america wants a better world to live in? Or
is america in your eyes a country ruled by crazy ppl who only see
money?
I believe they (both govt and people) want peace. However, it seems that the way
the govt does (to preserve the so-called "peace") usually can't be
"comprehended" by another nations. Well, I remembered what Julius
Caesar said: "If you want peace, then prepare for war."
America is a lousy country, full of drugs, war, lies, and greed. Everyone says
that America is the land of the free, where peace is full and money abounds...
Tch, yeah right. America doesn't want peace, it wants more. More oil, money,
power, whatever you want to put there.
America is certainly "a country ruled by crazy ppl who only see
money."
Peace? PEACE? *snort* America is having fun little "peace" wars in
Afghanistan and Iraq right this second, and is also cosidering to nuke Iran. Is that peace? Is sending thousands
of people to die for petrol (not to mention the iraqis and afghanistanis that
have died), peace? "Exporting Democracy", "Fighting
Terrorism" - funded by the Saudis, which the administration fawns over
because they need the oil - are catchy buzzwords that sold the war to the
american people. And thank Whoever up there, they are finally waking up, and
with a little luck, Bush will be impeached and his whole administration will
come down, like Tom Delay did.
But I suppose you'd rather group me with my country, and only see the country
instead of the person. >< I'm 16 years old, I can't speak for my country,
(and I know we've made mistakes and have acted out for personal gain, but what
country hasn't?)
but I do know that I desire peace and acceptance.
Some people in america are selfish, greedy, and apathetic. And some are the
exact opposite.
Don't group us all together. This is a DIVERSE nation.
In my eyes, we're no better or worse than the rest of the nations. The things
you'll find here, you'll find everywhere.
So yes, America wants peace. But every individual in this country has their own
ideas, for better or worse.
holy crap, u guys have no idea whats going on, take this from a history buff who
knows what im talking about. America hasnt started many wars, i thought it was
the 1.9 or so billion dollars and 3 thousand american lives that caused the war,
not oil. think what you want, but im saying we do want peace, and bush isnt as
bad as the press makes him out to be. Somebody post up here why you think bush
is a bad president, or that america is a bad country. and try not to be bias, im
not. Its just we dont wanna hurt any1, if we wanted to, wed just take over all
the world, remember, our bombs are bigger than yours!
Lets get a few points across. 1:world peace is impossible and will never be
accomplished. 2:America cant give a S&%* about how a country runs itself, as
long as it isnt a threat to the US or any US "Interests". 3:IF AMERICA
WANTED TO SPREAD PEACE, THEN THE EASIEST WAY TO DO THAT WOULD BE TO CONQUER
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR INSIGNIFCANT COUNTRIES AND HAVE YOU FOLLOW OUR RULES.
that would sure bring peace. So the answer is:NO, america is not trying to bring
peace to the world, a few countries maybe, but not the world.
as long as there is more than one man alive, there will never be peace, because
2 men never agree on everything, even if they are friends, and its natural
course that men, or animals fight when they dont agree on something, or want
something that they dont have. Even today, we are subject to instincts, and
nature.

America is certainly "a country ruled by crazy ppl who only see

America is the number one Superpower in the world, the greatest country on this
planet, capable of rolling over every single one your countries with tanks in a
matter of months. BUT IF WE REALLY WANTED MORE, THEN WHY DIDNT WE DO THIS
ALREADY? YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE WE DONT ALWAYS WANT MORE. WE KNOW WHEN TO STOP.
personally i wonder why we all can't just get along? i mean i just live here and
yet because of the government there are alot of people that wan't to nuke the
US. i say if you want to have a war go right ahead just don't do anything to
screw up the lives of the people who simply live in the US.
America doesn't, it's leaders do and the governmental system is rotten to the
core. It's more about what the majority in the senate and house want and how
much the lobbyists can pay them for it than it is truly about what the people
want anymore. The worst part is people are content with letting it go on, people
lose interest in politics and end up misinformed or ignorant as to what exactly
goes on in the capital.
The American people do want peace, or at least for things to be as peaceful as
possible as world peace is impossible so long as there are seperate nations and
individual thought, but let's face it no one wants to become the Borg which
would be the only answer to that problem. Americans don't want war either,
unfortunately once the government is doing its thing there's just very little in
this democratic system the people can do about it.
Now, it's no better to blast a nation for actions if you're going to group
millions of individual thinkers into one single body and generalize. I mean, who
is anyone to point fingers if they only make broad generalizations, blanket
statements and one-sided arguments? The current political system is the problem,
it gives the power to effect the lives of millions to only a handful of people
with a checks and balances system and a party system that simply doesn't work
anymore.

Are you mad? I'm american, so first of all it's not some random anti-american
sentiment (like many countries seem to have - ever wonder why?). The US is not
capable of "rolling over every single one your countries with tanks in a
matter of months." I mean, look at the situation in the Middle-East. Sure,
the coutry was "conquered" fast enough, but now the situation is
basically still war against the americans and each other. By knocking over the
balance of power over there, America has opened a huge can of worms that it'll
have to face: virulent anti-americanism that will encourage terrorism, rise of
radical and destructive nationalism/islamism,...
So, yes America can "roll over" a country. But what happens after?
What happens when the fronts multiply? America is stretched pretty thin now,
havn't you noticed?
America is a hard beast to figure out. I think that the majority of not just
American's, but the world wants peace. It's just that in a time of war and
unrest it is hard to see that the ones making the decision as wanting what we
want. America's main goal (ideologically) is everybody live their lives however
they want to, freely and without imposing unjust rule over anybody else. As long
as you aren't murdering your own people left and right and opressing the people
that make up your country, we are peachy with it.
The world view of the US right now is very blurred. The American people want
peace and honestly many would just prefer to live their lives in blissful
ignorance oblivious to the outside worlds matters. But because you have a few
warmongers that make the decisions... well lets just say one bad apple ruins the
bunch.
Besides, when you are the #1 agressor of the world, you are hated no matter your
actions. If China was the unstoppable juggernaut (not saying that we are), no
matter what they did everybody would hate them. Damned if you do, damned if you
don't.
NO. what america wants is to be safe from the world, or it's looking to the
world "trying to bring a pax romana" instead of looking to itself!
And, by the way, Sunspots, I don't think that america knows when to stop. It has
started various wars, and put in danger many countries with its dream of peace.
And america may not look like, but it's already rulling everything. Everything
around us is american, in a way we can barely know what is made in our own
country. America is just trying to rule over us in a diferent way then with
wars( even is they seem to love that way).
Anyway, I still think that america should take a look to itelf, not to the
world. Here in Portugal, we are always telling jokes and mad stuff about
ourselves. It's stupid, but I hear many people talk bad stuffabout their own
country. And I feel sorry for it...
Well, but that's not the point.
America is trying to bring peace? Well, trying!
Because it can't bring peace by making war, or buying oil!
But at least it seems to be the only one trying to do something. The other
countries preffer to stare instead of working in the peace job. It may not be a
great work, being the world-cops, but maybe it's a way to make all of us do
something!
Before I come in here, ripping hearts out, I want to know one thing; HOW MANY
WARS HAS AMERICA STARTED? I only know of one. Now.....I will give those anti-US
assholes (if the shoe fit, wear it) 2 hours to come up with the other wars we
started. So break out those history books that has been collecting dust, and
find all the internet facts you can, because school is now in session!

i live in america and i have no idea what the hell they are doing. which reminds
me, to all foreigners, dont hate the citizens that live here, we really dont
have a clue what the hell Bush is doing. he just does whatevere he likes. lol.
its kind of a shame.

You know I think that is a pretty ignorant thought right there. That is like
classifying everyone in Iraq or Afghanistan a "Terrorist" or everyone
in Utah a "Mormon".
I think the Government has made some wrong decisions. Who REALLY knows the
reason (with facts to back them up) why we went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I think President Bush may...MAY...have had the American public's interest at
mind at one time during making that decision, but I'm sure there were other
reasons for it as well. I'm not gonna start spouting out nonsense now, I along
with the majority of our country (I think) believe in retrospect it was probably
the wrong thing to do. However, are you going to tell me tho that Saddam Hussein
was a good leader, and deserved to be in power. We might have done it for the
wrong reason, but regardless I'm sure the world is better with him
gone.
Quote by tobiast88and is also
cosidering to nuke Iran
Where did you hear that from, I watch the news I didn't hear anything about us
"nuking" Iran.
Ya know I'm not trying to say the US is perfect, far from it in fact. I would
like someone to tell me a country that is, you can't because there isn't one. I
don't know of many countries out there with such a diverse population and
culture though. Were else do you find something like this. Having such a diverse
culture can lead to problems itself, but over all I think of it as a step
towards the right direction. Where people don't squable over their religions and

I would say again, it's ignorant to blame a country entirely for the actions of
a few, it's wrong when we do it, it's wrong when anyone does it. So I do not
believe it is right to say that all americans are "war mongers" or
anything to that degree. One thing I think you will find in the US tho is, we
will support our troops through and through. Not necesarrily the reason's they
might be where they are, but they are our people and we support them (not
necesarrily the cause). I think any country should be like that.
Now before you all continue, I think you should take a step back, and before you
write out some hate comments or anything think it through logically, and give
detailed explanations behind your comments.
Both. I suppose a large group of people really are trying to bring peace - its
just that such a large group seek peace through war. And then there are the
money grabbing folk - its more obvious in America because its such a large,
influential country, but of course there are those kinds of people in other
countries, too.
Actually...I think...people want peace, but they're doing it in different ways.
It's just getting messed up, because even if they all want peace, they could be
for different purposes, therefore it ends up in either trying to dominate some
other country, attacking this place, terrorism... etc...
So America may want to bring peace, but the process is sort of tangled.
America, that always sais, we want peace. We want to protect ourselves from other threats. Do you really believe america wants a better world to live in? Or is america in your eyes a country ruled by crazy ppl who only see money?
