heh heh ..... yeah....i was wondering what u expect in a friend....and if u got no
friends how about ur love? for me, what i expect from a friend is to be
understanding....nice..... caring....supportive.... fun... and not selfish.
Well, I'm not going to run all over the details here, but it would be nice to
have a friend whom you can talk a lot of things about [while they do the same to
you as well], and someone you can feel more comfortable with while opening your
usual discussions with them, not the other way around. I'm usually the kind of
person who only really chats to maybe four or five people on a regular basis,
while I normally meet my friends in the mall or in the library - for example,
but what I really try to steer away from are people who are flat out
"boring" and have nothing much to say.
The usual conversation:
"Hello."
"How are you?"
"Good-bye!"
And the works.
It is really hard to keep in touch with a friend at times, and not all my
friends are indeed the "perfect" candidate I would consider under my
expectations list over here, but what makes them something more special is the
way you really get to open up to them when you don't even realize it. It's hard
to find that sort of friendship, considering people like me have a hard time
talking to individuals I don't know of, out of thin air.
A friend, or even a lover, should always be honest. Lies get no one anywhere
fast.
A friend should also be there for you whenever you really need them, and they
should be a good listener that doesn't judge you. By listening they should
interact, too. To dish out a story and not get feedback is quite an empty
feeling. For a friend to care enough to tell you what they think or how they
feel is very special and strengthens the bond between you and them. I'm just
basing this on what my best friend and I share. We talk about everything, give
each other advice, and are just good company for each other. This is just my
opinion.
:) Great topic, BTW!
well, hmm i expect my friends to be kind, thoughtful, fun, to have a sense of
humor, like anime lol, understanding, NOT concieted and i have to be able to
talk with them about anything and feel comfortable about it.... there's more,
but those are just the basics....
A friend/lover should be honest, interesting, and somewhat energetic. They
should also be kind, smart, and understanding. Most importantly (to me), they
have to be somebody I can confide in. In my case, I have a decent amount of
friends, but I only REALLY pour out my thoughts to about 2 or 3 of them, just
because they're great like that. So I guess that about scratches the surface.
what i expect from a friend is that they have to be laid back, chilled and most
of all hella fun.
What I expect from a lover is that she has to understand, honest and she has to
be not afraid to confront me if she has a problem or doubts in our relationship
beside all of that I don’t expect much in a lover
What I want in a friend is someone who I can fell comfortable with. Maybe also
kind, caring, selfless, and friendly. But people like that are hard to find
these days.

i agree it's hard to find friends with those characteristic these days but there
are people like tat in the world.
for example i carry all those characteristics but i don't show it to anyone i
don't know throughout my whole life or to anyone i don't trust with my life.
the things i look in a friend would be having the same characteristics as me.
i think a friend should (most importantly) always be there for you...they should
also be honest...loyal...someone you can trust and confide in...and...not judge
you by what's on the outside...but whats on the inside, by that i mean...they
should take the time to actually listen to you...not just jump to
conclusions...that's pretty much it for me
i would like a friend with benifets, lol, but i think a friend who helps wwhen
they can and listens is always there. someone you can trust and also known for a
long time.
meh..my gf is probably the one person i trust more than anyone besides my best
friend; to be able to share your personal past with... without hesitating.....
and feeling comfortable with them
i guess them being honest as well 0.o

You are right i have one realy good friend and we use to talk lots of things.
also i prefer honesty and loyalty.
My few other friends are basicly same kind freaks and "funny" guys
like me
and its fun
still i can talk whit them only not so serious topics.
maybe i need more friends
cos basically im lonely.
i can call a person a friend if we just insult each other and not get mad..lol,
it just sounds like proof that you and that person accepts each other and
moreover trust each other.
(raise hand) i agree with all..... i have friends who i can talk to and have fun
with but when it comes to serious things or selfish thoughts i think of there r
only a few that i can truely trust or rely on when i need the support. and yes i
friends that accepts me for who i am is also what i want in a friend ^-^
someone who is not exactly like me, but does like some things the same...someone
who will listen when you need them to and they care about you. A friend and a
love have to have some of the same qualities sometimes.
for a friend i like people who share the same interests as me, is willing act
stupid around others, don't act like an ass-hole when someone "below"
them is around and they don't do drugs or smoke.
Now someone for a girlfriend, it would be someone who is timid, not shy, but not
really out going eathier. She would be fun, curious and has long hair ^^
marisa, i want my friends to be supportive of the way i decorate things. i don't
like to be insulted... MY PAGE IS NOT BORING AND EVEN IF IT IS YOU DON'T HAVE TO
TELL ME THAT LIKE 3 TIMES I MEAN C'MON! anyway overall i want my friends to be
suportive, kind, and exciting. (like my page is!) and i don't like idiots...
heh heh
