The first episode was released a few days ago, and I'm wondering about your
opinion of the anime. I wasn't overly ecstatic with the first episode, but it
was fun to watch. I think it's typically shoujo, with the "bishies"
and the sparkly backgrounds (which I think is overused). Also the
"brotherly love" from the Twins is somewhat scary.
In summary, what did you think of Ouran High Host CluB?

I've read the manga and a blog of the first and second episodes. A lot of people
are saying that the manga and anime are on par with each other. I hope this
continues and I wish that it will be a series that's more than 13 eps., maybe 24
or more.
I think Host Club is the funniest Anime I've see in quite a while. Character
design and story line is really good. I hope it will be more than 13 episodes
because it really seems to be a splendid Anime.
This anime probably won't stretch over more than 24 episodes. There's a lot of
potential plots they could have for each episode and an obvious love story
between Haruhi and the "King" for the last few eps.
Even though this show is blatantly a shoujo anime, I still really enjoy watching
it. The character designs are great (as expected from BONES) and there's lots of
great humour.
Note: For those of you who haven't seen this
show yet, DON'T let the first episode throw you off. THIS IS NOT A YAOI SHOW

At first, I think it's a abnormal anime when I saw an OP with all the boys are
main char. I forced myself to watch the whole ep (I usually try to watch every
anime I downloaded, because I don't want to waste my time to download it then
delete it without give it a try), it turn out to be a very good anime, fun to
watch.
i think the anime is a great adaptation of the manga.. i read the manga and it's
not really the typical shoujo because (i think it was the author herself who
said it) it really is a parody of the typical shoujo.. ehe.. hence the hot boys,
the superfluous flowers and sparkles, and classical music.. but there definitely
is a plot underneath all the craziness..
it's really fun to watch.. plus the animation is great.. everything's
smooth^-^;;

I wasn't all that overly excited with the anime either. When I saw the opening
and the way they drew the opening, I was freaking out and hoping that the anime
wasn't the same style of art. (The style of art was cute and all, but better
suited for fanart or single pieces. Not the anime itself).
But I did like it. Not everything is the same as the manga (cause they can't fit
it all in there) and there are certain things better in the manga and vice
versa. I like how the Tamaki found out Haruni was a girl in the manga but I like
how everyone else figured it out in the anime. (the hold thing with the
lightbulbs).
I also was afraid it was a typical shoujo anime. But it wasn't so that makes the
anime so much better. ^_^ I look forward to watching the rest.
Its been sometime since I encountered an anime like this Its
not your average shoujo anime but instead its bit differen but that is what
makes the anime great. Its really nice and I look forward on watching the rest

Ouran's has the best execution I've seen in a long time. The plot might be
lacking, but the presentation just makes the show fly. Quirky sense of humor is
also fabulous. Can't wait for Renga and Nekozawa to show up :3
I thought the King was really funny in the manga but then I saw him actually
moving around and speaking in the anime I laughed so much I coulden stop.
I just love the sceen when he finds out that she's a girl. That expression beats
everyting ^^ I watched it over and over. lol
Definetly one of the funniest shows I'm watching at the moment. I really hope
they go for 24 episodes.
You know what I noticed tho? In the beginning Haruhi Looked a little like harry
potter with the glasses and messed up hair and all that...HAHAHA! but she does
clean up good and i wonder if they ever english dub it. I really hope they
do...the theme song is catchy...

was first released. Not until I saw that a great deal was made out of the
series. That was when I decided to get the show and I must say, I wasn't utterly
disappointed. It was fun watching Haruhi getting into that situation. And the
host club are a whole bunch of fun people with personalities of their own, its
hard not to love them. And the OP has just been released!

couldnt believe how funny it was! I quite like the characters and the plot seems
to be going pretty well. I am definately looking forward to future episodes!

swallow my words cause it was really cute and fun to watch. i was laughing quite
a bit throughout all the eps and am actually wondering why i haven't seen the
4th on animesuki yet... oh well guess i'll have to be patient.
I once read a preview of the manga online from Viz and wasn't very impressed
with it, but after watching the anime, I'm in love. ^_^ I'm definitely getting
the mange next time I go to a bookstore. Tamaki is my favorite so far. I love
how he always tries to do the right thing when it's actually not needed, like in
episode 4 when he thought Haruhi was crying, but it was actually her contact
lense falling out. I felt sorry for him. I also like the twins too, 'cause
they're nutty.

yup, the first episode is so funny! love the intro song, it so catchy. animation is perfect, as expected from Bone.
