I would reccomend: planets ladder, love hina, gundam seed, naruto and hikaru no
go for mangas.
As far as anime I would suggest Final Fantasy Advent Children, Gundam Seed,
Crest and Banner of the Stars, Onegai Teacher etc.

good^^ and some friends told me the Ouran High School Host Club was very funny

Land of the Blindfolded is really cute. So is Pita-ten, Kamichama Karin,
Dramacon, W Juliet.... Tennis no Ohjisama (Prince of Tennis) is okay... Uhh,
xxxHolic goes well with Tsubasa Chronicles....Fushigi Yuugi is pretty good. Host
Club is a very funny manga. (Most of the ones I am listing are manga I've read -
some are anime though...) Legal Drug and lots of other stuff by CLAMP is really
good too =)

magic knight rayearth, & happy hustle high & more. oh look up things by
Rie Takada. Handsome art.
Anime: princess nine, angelic layer, pretear, r.o.d-- the t.v, mermaid melody [
not licsend in US ], miyazaki films;; I think Porco Rosso, whisper of the heart,
pom poko would be the best because hardly any people know of them. & of
course gundam SEED/ SEED Destiny. & trust me there are so many more.

I recommend KARAS it has some of the best graphics i have evr seen in an anime:
animation, art, cell- shaded and cgi. It also has a sweet story and
presentation. It combines so many genres: samurai, ninja,horror,police/detective
story,martial arts, mecha (I call it the anime's answer to matrix lol)
