I'd have to say that the Wolf's Rain OST is my favorite. You can rely on Yoko Kanno to create excellent music.

Almost every song done by Yuki Kajiura. She'as got songs that are soothing, dramatic, and light hearted. I especially like the BGM she's done for Mai Hime, Tsubasa Chronicles, Xenosaga 2, and .hack.

A beautiful song that will always be my favorite would be Isn't it Beautiful (orchestrial version) from Final Fantasy X. But since this is an anime topic, I would say the opening theme to the tv series "Air" (Tori no Uta sung by Lia ) is my current favorite.

plus yuki kajiura's compositions. they're the leetest i especially loved the new age genre songs she did in mai hime ;3

and probably the two songs by Savage Genius. "Itsuka Tokeru Namida" (maybe misspelled?) and "Forever" (Even though it is a TV ripped, and it is short)

Ya, nice one,good taste mate. Not only her but also Yoko Kanno. They are probably making the best bgm. She has done bgm for "Sousei no Aquarion", which is a new series on showing in jp. The op of that is really giving you energy. She has also done bgm for rahxephon.
