I know that there are buttons to reset (or 'clear') the userpage content in the 'userpage customization' page, but in my case, it's useless.. ^_^'
why?
because I recently have a problem with updating my userpage because of a minor (but turns out to be devastating) flaw in
my XHTML code for the userpage content.
I forgot to put closing quotation marks (") in my code, and now I can't update the whole damn thing at
all...
code (notice the missing " in the image title tag) :
Quote: .... <img src="http://www.angelfire.com/ex2/korganos/MT/frag.upg" title="Visit Fragments! ^^> ...
yep, at first, I thought this problem can be easily solved by going into the customization page and change it,... but
sh*t happens... >.<
this is what I got (click to see full view) :
http://img110.exs.cx/img110/6898/eror16eg.jpg
from the screenshot, you can see that the 'Done' and 'JS Preview' button that should be underneath
the textarea is not visible, and my attempt to 'click' it using the 'Tab' keyboard button ended up
in vain...
it's simply not there... It's a useless attempt to click on the 'Insert default XHTML' and
'Clear' button since I had to apply the content change using that darned 'Done' button, thus I
can't update my userpage... T_T
and from this screenshot of the code :
http://img102.exs.cx/img102/3559/error28tt.jpg
you can see that the code for the whole customization page is now in the textarea... I don't have any idea why this can be happened, since the code for the page is put in a <textarea> html tag (in the page's code). It seems that some specific flaws in the content code can ovveride the <textarea> tag for some reason :\
so, I think it would be a good idea to have a separate 'Clear content' or 'Reset content' button somewhere in the control panel, as well as in the customization page...
BIG UPDATE :
I found out the solution to this :
this problem only happens in FireFox T_T
I'm using Internet Explorer to open my Userpage Costumization page, and VOILA!! It works like a charm... ^_^'
