What would like to say to smokers to help them pass this bad habit ??

How do you feel if you have a smoking friend and you dont like it ??

i smoke and i think i speak for most smokers when i say that its extremely annoying to be told how bad/disgusting this habit is. at this point everbody knows the health risks involved. if you have a friend that smokes and it bothers you, maybe just try to accept it. there are many habits/behaviors worse than smoking. anyways, were a dying breed, most people end up quitting sometime.

bottom line - smoking feels goood. theres nothing like that first cigarette of the day...

I don't smoke because I am aware of the heath risks involved and I choose to not jeopordize my health and shorten my life. I have friends and relatives who smoke and though I dont like it I usually don't say anything about it. Its their life and if they choose to smoke then that's thier choice. I have no right to tell them to change. If they want to quit, good for them, they are making the right choice, but if not, I'm not going to pressure them into it.

My dad smokes.... and he has a reason... probably because of stress from work, or people, so he takes a time out and smokes... I know it doesn't matter the reason why they smoke... but second hand smoking sucks. Especially when your in the same car, damn, its cold. >_<

i use to smoke i have smoked for 8 years and have quited for 4 months. the best way to quit is cold turkey .. those things such as the patch and the gums dont help sometimes can cause more trouble then help. if you got a friend ask them to smoke not near you if that bothers you. when i used to smoke i make sure the people around me didnt mind and i try to blow the smoke away from others

I smoke...for no reason.i started it 2 years ago just like that and i continue to smoke not because i want to be cool or something but for it has become a habbit.all of my friends smoke too.i counted how much money i can save every year and its 1.300 dollars or something like this.

Smoking is an addiction - MT is an addiction. Trade-off - go to MT more often if you think of considering smoking. ^_^'

Angry of course - I am against smoking. That's why I never ever even tried for once - and for people to say: "Well, you are missing out."

Well I have to say this: Tough luck pal - go cry me a river - I know you will if you keep smoking like that someday. >_>

Same goes with alcohol - brings the worst out of peeps. Heck - I never even did any of the bad stuff - why would I? @_@

I hate peole that post that stuff. You know of all the ways to die...who cairs. I dont want to live over 60, less I cant even hold my blatter any more. Besides you know that it takes years for that to happen. So chances are you'll die from that, just about the same time of old age. My uncle died from that, but at the age of 65, after he was on a brething tube, still smokeing for years!

Heres my beef, Dont pass jugement on others! Its our lives so piss of and go bug someone else. Their are many more worce ways to die, and I could cancer as on of the least ones. I smoke about 3 black & mild's a everyother week. Why? Because its a legil way to relax. I dont drink, but if I have had 3 major college tests, whats to say haveing a puff after is wrong.

The part that ticks me off the most is how schools and mom/dad teach you to persive people that smoke are bad people. Thats pure bullshit. I met someone that because one of my best firends, he smokes just about a pack a day. --- Now here is were "he" who smokes is better than most that dont smoke, for that matter other momd/dads:

He has a 5 year old son at the age of 28. His GF did not cair for him, so he takes cair of him. He is an amazeing dad! Now I never had a dad, so when I can, if here were my dad, I'd be proud, I mean it! He's kind, nice. Will lone shit loads of money out if you need it. Is very protiveive.

Now, hows that sound to to way schools tought you about smokers? Humm? Right.
If you want to smoke, Smoke! If you want to drink, Drink! Long as its not hurting others, go for it. Is your life and no one esle has the right to tell you how to live it.

I guess I have a bone to pick with this post too...no offense meant but I guess I wanted to put my 2 cents in and before you say anything no I don't smoke but I just want to say that people are entitled to do as they wish with their life...and smoking is not as negative as some put it my friends who smoke tell me...yes it hurts your health and yes you're going to die faster and harm others...but I guess you have to take into consideration these things

1. if you enjoy smoking then it's the same as eating junk food all your life as it saps away at your health...you know about it but you enjoy it so you eat them anyway...and who wants a life they can't enjoy anyway? I would rather die a happy 50 yr old than someone who has yet to experience anything aged 90

2. according to one of my friends it calms the nerves on their already stressful lives...I mean yes it's not the idea way to get rid of stress...but its a method that works...drugs (the legal type) also has their side effects if taken too much so just think of this as another drug

It is true that I as a non smoker will be affected when people smoke around me...but I can always walk around the smoke or politely tell my friends (or whoever) to stop if it really bothers me...I'm sure most understand that it's not something others might want to inhale...

Arr....i didn't smoke but almost of my friend in class smoke all the time.i cann't go out from the way that cover by smoke...-_- but i said,i won't talk with u if u smoke in fromt of me.i didn't anti it much.But i cann't keep the smoke of cigarette.i'll get cough & i cann't keep that smell too.

I didn't hate anyone who smoke.It's his/her business.So,i didn't want to get involved with his/her life much.But they'll accept my way too.please,if u want to smoke,i don't mind but i lose it.keep it away when u come to me.^w^

Well I think smoking is stupid and disgusting but hey they're free to do what they like so why don't people just keep their opinions to themselves and just deal with it, because just because u say u don't like it doesnt mean the wholle world is going to yield for you... but thats just my opinion ^__^ Hope I didnt seem mean, lol. ^__^
