I was thinking a first making a favorite Darkstalkers character thread but after checking the "Favorite Fighting Game" thread I see it's not very popular however my second favorite seemed to have a good chunk of fans, so without further ado I give you the one and possibly only I hope "Favorite Soul Calibur characters" thread! Here's my humble list of favorites: 1. Astaroth - wacking at it's finest 2. Voldo - if he talked he'd say "I'm gonna hump you! I'm gonna hump you!" 3. Ivy - no comment, this woman speaks for herself 4. Cervantes - two swords+jacket over the shoulders = kewlness 5. Seung Mina - like wine, she just got better with age 6. Yoshimitsu - "Namuuuuu, biatch" And honorable mention goes to Heihachi, that geezer takes crap from no one (other than an army of suicidal Jacks)! Cancel

My favs are Mitsurugi and Nightmare though I often call him Siegfried. At the moment I'm getting into Astaroth and Cassandra. Astaroth is so much fun seriously. I'm getting into Cassandra because I saw an exhibition match from Evo 2004 and it inspired me. PS I'm talking about Soul Calibur 2 here. Cancel

Talim will always be my favorite. Once one masters her she is a very solid character. But so as to not be a fanboy, her downsides do show. Her entire fighting style would be to deal significant damage through combos that involve you cycling around the opponent. If you only land 1 hit it won't do much and if you take a hit you are in trouble. Also, the elbow-blades are short-range, so fighting someone like Killik or Nightmare can be a pain since you have to get close, but once done it's all downhill from there :D I've also had a question: Why do people call Killik's weapon a "bostaff?" Bo in japanese means staff so they're basically saying "Staff staff" XP Not to poke fun of people, I've just been curious (since I saw it on Napoleon dynamite) Cancel
