I am also looking for a program or addon for Photoshop that allows me to make japanese font style if you know what Im getting at XD. Please help Cancel

Try to download japanese font to your pc so after you install them they will be viewable from photoshop. I think xp have japanese fonts in their installation cd Cancel

If you're looking for a brush feel, your best bet, aside from finding fonts like Sword Kanji which mimic the effect or drawing with a brush on paper and scanning it in, is to use a graphics tablet. Being able to control the pressure, width of the stroke, etc dynamically with a pen will be the closest you can get to a brush/paper calligraphy feel. Cancel

Windows XP/2000 Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages, "Install files for East Asian Languages". Then click on "Details..." and then click on "Add". Select Japanese and tada ^_^ The language bar should appear on your desktop or taskbar and you just select Japanese text when your text cursor is flashing in Photoshop :D Cancel

You have to have your Windows install disk otherwise you have to go to the windows web page to download the fonts. If you are looking for just characters not caring what they mean you can get them off your character map on windows. Go To: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Chacter Map There you can look through the characters, select and paste!!! Good luck! Cancel

The above is how you install it but the font is not located on your computer! You have to have your Windows install disk otherwise you have to go to the windows web page to download the fonts.
