I usually have several tabs open at once. Besides MT I usually have three or four other pages open. Ah, tabbed browsing is a lifesaver! XD

About 4. Any more than that makes my head spin a bit too much - I prefer to concentrate on one or two things at a time. :) Another reason is that I'm usually on a 56k connection, so I can't really have very much loading at a time. >_>

around 20-25 tabs on each mozilla window. sometimes i run 3 or 4 windows. i.e if im downloading wallpapers or something...
in addition i have the following running: iTunes, VLC, bittorrents, im, irc, firewall, f-prot, system suite, etc.
