what is the first anime that you ever saw in your life?
this can be a movie or a series.

For me the first anime was on SiFi and the name ecapes me, so if you know then please tell me.

all i can remember is that a boy from earthis chased by evil robots and he then find a beautiful women that takes him across the solar system (on a flying train) and and finds out more than he wanted to. ex: the women is an android

well the firt anime was "Candy Candy" or maybe "Heidi" .
The two series are shoujos. when i saw it i have 7 or 8 year XD

For me, it was "Mahou no Princess Minky Momo", in 1984. It's about a magical girl coming from the dream land to help people in distress, etc... :D

Sorry but i don't know the name in English, only in French ;)

All those are good movies and series (except for pokemon of course).

since ya'll are all mentioning series then I think that for me it would have to be robotech just like Elden
But the secondary question still remanes about the mystery anime movie.

Napoleon Dynamite

My first anime was the old school Megaman and Sonic the Hedgehog animes. I never considered them anime (didn't even know what anime was), just cartoons. So yeah 6th grade was when I got hooked on anime. I think I started off with Pokemon XD and then moved onto DBZ along with Gundam Wing.

hmm i think it must have been akira and robotech, or do you consider starzinger as anime? :> don't know the japanese name of it :/

Cant remember the name of the first anime i watched. It was with an AI tank that takes a woman hostage then rampages through a city while heading for the ocean to destroy a submarine. Needless to say the hero of the story chases after the tank in order to free the "distressed female". I think i was about 6 or 7 years old when i first atched it.

My first was probably Sailor Moon but it could also be an anime about a caveboy or something called Ray... I can't remember what it was called...
My first movie was Castle of Cagliostro

Give me more!

The first anime I ever saw through was Kenshin. The first movie I saw (it was before I saw Kenshin) was Princess Mononoke.
The absolutly first anime I saw was Sailor Moon, but I was really small and didn't know what it was, it was just some cartoon to me then.
