I'm very new to PhotoShop and i found another way to extract images without using the pen tool or magic wand...But i was wondering if this is a good way as i've not heard anyone of you mention this way to extract image before...

Here's the link:

Another question...How long does it take to extract an image? Lets say...This lovely scan by our Administrator, Sheqel:

I'm no veteran either but I'd say your eye is the best judge. If it's quick, works, and looks great go for it I say.

ah, 'Extract' feature of photoshop...
it is one of the best available ways to extract an image.....
I myself use that technique a lot before using pen tool...
it's quite fast and yields fairly good result, depends on the image and the original background of the character....
but if not used properly, it will make the extracted image's edges blurry... or badly pixelated...
I'd say give it a shot, and practise using it a lot... :)
